Paradise in the Gran Paradiso

This place was utterly charming. The interior was so warm and welcoming. It is looks designed rather than thrown together ... though you have to like the color red. Its location was also great; right next to hiking trails and very quiet (until a couple of people moved in right on top of me.) The kitchen had everything I needed, there was plenty of room, and there were even comfortable places to sit. I would give it a 10 if not for all the times I bumped my head (this place is not meant for big people) and the problems with checking in.

The only issue I had was the problem I had with checking in. It would have been easy to give me instructions for a self-check-in rather than having to call the host for information when I got there. Not being able to reach him for a half an hour on arrival was unsettling, especially since I had given him my arrival time. Besides that--well, and being too tall for the doorways--it's an awesome place to stay.

None of the below impacted our stay, but just to be aware: - Parking is not at the property, but 2-3 minutes walking from the accommodation which can be incovenient to move the luggage - Public place is public and you might find issues to find a place during high season. However, other parking spots avaialable within 5-10 mins walking distance

poor facilities for a self catering apartment and an hour away from a shop! we left two days early!

cosy and clean apart from the kitchen

no kettle, toaster was filthy, rusty and when we put bread in it came out dirty and no grater - for an apartment so far away from anything, the facilities were poor and inadequate!

Perfect getaway location

Historical house with great location in Valsaverenche (Aosta valley). Quiet and cozy. Many hiking trails start right from the property yard.

25 kilometers for the nearest shop, so take all you need with you. Nothing bad to say about the property itself.

Very pleasant stay that exceeded our expectations

The apartment is very clean, cozy and authentic. The apartment is located in the mountain valley with great views and with some wonderful trails which are starting right in the backyard. Roberto the host is very easy to communicate with. He is very hospitable and helpful.

The chalet is very cosy and authentically decorated, everything you need is present. We loved the location: great hikes start just at your doorstep. Highly recommended!

Short break in the mountains

Really sweet place off the beaten track, perfect for a short break away from the modern world. Loved the traditional décor which looks much nicer in person. We came came when snow had fallen and left while it was falling so we have a magical sort of feeling for the place. Host was really lovely and made sure we were all ok. Don't hesitate, book it!

Panorama stupendo

Casa accogliente con tutti i confort necessari, disponibilità dell host che ci ha messo a disposizione prodotti per la prima colazione, la casa è fornita di tutto il necessario macchina per il caffè microonde , a fianco scorre il fiume e svegliarsi con quel rumore non ha prezzo , panorama stupendo. Posizione abbastanza comoda per andare a fare alcuni percorsi , ce ne sono che partono a pochi metri dalla casa se cercate un posto tranquillo ve lo consiglio... Grazie dell ospitalità...

Fuga nel parco del Gran Paradiso

L'alloggio è davvero stupendo. Le foto non mentono, e anzi sono quasi riduttive. Vissuto d'inverno, con la neve fuori, crea un'atmosfera fantastica. Per due persone è spazioso, ben fornito e con un arredamento molto accogliente. Anche nel bagno è tutto perfettamente funzionante. Abbiamo peraltro trovato prodotti per la colazione gentilmente offerti, e l'host è stato molto disponibile per ogni richiesta. Il letto è comodo, e sono presenti due cuscini da letto per ciascun ospite, uno in memory e uno "classico". Wi-Fi e smart-tv funzionanti molto bene, nel caso si voglia passare un po' di tempo in casa o giusto per un attimo di relax. La posizione è molto comoda, centrale nel parco. In un attimo si arriva in cima alla valle in auto, e direttamente dalla casa (tra i vari) c'è un percorso ad anello molto bello che porta alla Casa Reale di Caccia di Orvieille, luogo molto panoramico sul Gran Paradiso e sul Grand Combin. In definitiva, molto consigliato!

Unico difetto: la caldaia in camera. Diciamo che con i continui cicli di accensione e spegnimento, un po' di rumore lo fa. Se si ha il sonno particolarmente leggero, consiglio dei tappi. Altrimenti, mi sento di dire che non disturba chi dorme con più facilità.
