The place is very nice , but the service is very poor

The property was very nice, clean and royal. Food at the restaurant was delicious

The service was terrible, in the hot tub wasn’t go hot water, only warm. Then I told to the host to fix it he just ignored and say this happened because some guest uses spa facilities downstairs. But it’s not my problem, I have paid for the luxury apartments. The second problem was the toilet was broken and I cannot flush the water. Host said okay I will fix but nobody come, so we fixed by our self instead relaxing and enjoying jacuzzi .. and one more problem it’s a parking, because it’s says free parking no reservations, but it was so tiny so we parked our car and the host always knocked to the door and asked to move car ..

The Jacuzzi control panel was malfunctioning and needed repair. There was also a strange odor in the bathroom.

It's okay, but...

The location is 'okay' if you're willing to walk around. We checked in in the evening after traveling so it was convenient to stay in on a cold winter night. Amazing jacuzzi in the room, we spent the entire evening chilling in it. Comfortable wide bed. Best for just staying in.

The staff didn't inform us of a fee of using the property sauna and pool when checking in. 60 euros for 1 hour ??? I think that's crazy. Nothing much to do there anyways. Kind of bummed us out.

Quirky olde building in great location. Easy check in (desk was manned). Easy parking. Great location- walking distance to the Castle for the opera buffs. Lovely self serve breakfast. And even a bar for the thirsty traveller.

Very disappointing – wouldn’t recommend

The hotel is located on the shore of a beautiful lake, offering a stunning view. It must be especially lovely to spend time on the terrace by the water in summer. – The restaurant is very good for dinner. Every dish we ordered was incredibly delicious! These are probably the only real advantages of this hotel

We booked a Superior Double Room, but the windows turned out to face a busy road with cars constantly passing just a few metres away. The soundproofing is very poor – you can hear every vehicle going by, making it impossible to properly rest. In reality, the rooms look worse than in the photos. There’s so little light that the space feels uncomfortable. We had large suitcases that were hard to open because of the lack of space. My parents stayed in a Double Room with Lake View, and their room was slightly better – more spacious, brighter, with a nice view and no traffic noise. If you have to choose between staying in a Superior Double Room or not staying at all, go for the latter. Water from the shower constantly spills onto the floor, no matter how careful you are. The cleaning also leaves much to be desired. The sauna costs €60 per hour, and no towels are provided. You’re expected to bring your own from the room and then reuse them. There are no glasses for water – are guests supposed to bring those from the room too? The whole setup shows a lack of thought and attention to detail. The jacuzzi water was so full of chlorine that we didn’t even want to get in. The biggest downside, however, is the communication and professionalism of the staff. When I made the booking, I asked a few basic questions (such as whether there’s parking nearby), and nobody replied. A week later, I followed up, and was told to call for this information. Seriously? I’m supposed to call from another country just to get a simple answer? Upon arrival, you have to ask about everything yourself — nothing is explained. The reception and rooms are in different buildings, and there’s no phone in the room. For example, nobody tells you the Wi-Fi password in advance. You arrive, there’s no sign of it anywhere, and you have to walk back to ask. And it’s like that with everything. Very unprofessional staff — they all need proper training. Sadly, this was the worst hotel in Lithuania

Hidden Gems of Trakai

Georgian style hotel-restaurant, away from noisy town centre but in walking distance to tourists attractions places, peaceful and calm , at the lakeside, beautiful nature surroundings. Food is exceptionally perfect, they making own bread and cheese , also have outdoor oven as well, so you only have relax and to wait till order is ready. That was unexpected and pleasant experience. Trakai castle has known charm , worth to get on the boat tour to see the castle from lakeside too. Uzutrakio Hall is a hidden gem to visit too

The room exceeded our expectations, wonderful location with a view of the lake from the room. Also their restaurant where we had lunch and dinner facing the lake. It was clean and tidy and the owner speaks English and he is very kind.

Cosy lakeside location close to Trakai Castle

Wonderful lakeside location, superfriendly staff and stylish room. The cosy hotel has an excellent Georgian Cuisine. From the dining terrace you have a great view. Close to Trakai Castle and nice beaches in quiet Trakai. Parking is nearby. Great place to explore Trakai and Vilnius. We spent three nights.

Trakai is a great place for vacation and Argo is a good place to stay there!

Excellent service and fantastic food in the restaurant, including breakfast. You can swim in the lake directly from the pier near the hotel/restaurant. The furniture and all the small details, even electric switches, and bedclothes, are authentic and create a nice atmosphere. The distance to the fortress is about 2 km but the way there along the lake beach is very pleasant.

The property is located centrally in Trakai. There is a very small parking lot, but nearby at Iki you can park. The view to the lake and the terrace are very beautiful and relaxing. The room is large, comfortable and with nice decorations. The breakfast was delicious, but a bit late to start at 9.

This place is 10 out of 10. Location is absolutely perfect: 7-10 min from and to bus or train station; 25 min until Castle. It's literally by the lake. More impressive thing than beautiful, clean and stunning room, was the staff - made us feel like at home. Super helpful with any request and very kind. Also, worth to mention than quality of the food is like in the best restaurants. Couldn't recommend enough. Thank you and keep doing and amazing job!

The staff was so helpful we needed help with calling the local bus station and he was more than happy to help. We had to leave early and missed breakfast but they prepared something yummy still.

Room was nice and location was perfect. 15 min walk from the castle. Breakfast was delicious.

I book this hotel thinking I was going to be able to use the spa/pool as I saw it on the pictures. To my surprise, it was not only not included but it cost €90 for 2 hours. I wouldn't mind to pay a decent fee but €90??? Seriously?. That kind of ruin my experience. Also none of the staff member were very nice or made me feel welcome.

Good experience in a vintage interior. Nice lake view. Not the cleanest jacuzzi but it was a jacuzzi after all.

The vintage interior is definitely quite interesting. the atmosphere is cozy, inviting and a bit nostalgic in a way. Surely, lake view variant is something to aim for. Oh and how can you not include a jacuzzi bath as a benefit?

There were no major “odd” surprises but maybe, just to list a few details, others would find helpful: - No kettle - The sink bath and shower taps are quite loose (which really irritates me personally, considering the price you pay for this experience too) - Poor soud poofing. If people talk in the coridor downstairs, being in an attic room you will hear them well. Luckily we didn’t have next door neighbours as the room next door was under repairs. - Broken tiles of the bathtub edge were stiched with the duct tape and hidden behind a chair (quite clever actually). - The main irritating this and definitely st the top of the “naughty” list would be big dirt particles in the bathtub which only started to show as the bsth was full (after nearly an hour of filling it up). Paying such a price you would at least expect cleaned out bathtubs. This surely made an impact on the mood.

Romantic style nice decorated room with wooden ancient furniture, stylish ancient bathroom ans amazing view to the lake! Besides, thanks to flexible manager, who has arranged early breakfast for us, which was very delicious and rich. Compliments to the kitchen! Nothing turns down the mood as much as long check-in process. And that was not the case in Argo Trakai. Few minutes and we were in the room, enjoying beautiful view to the lake. Restaurant is small and cozy, offering great selection of Georgian dishes - I was really impressed by the variety of choices. If You like dry wine, recommend to try at least a glass of Georgian, which they have both, white and red. I tried the red one and it went really well with any dish we ordered. And trust me - select the best room number what they offer. You will not regret this. Super comfy bed, lots of space, fancy decor and, of course, who needs pool when You get a huge jacuzzi in the middle of Your room?

Speaking about pool, we wanted it still:) And that experience is actually related with the only flaw we could find. We talked with the husband, that the whole experience is still a 10 out of 10, even though we were lost and scared a bit during the pool time. Long story short, electricity room is what scared us as it was making noises. Also, nor bubbles in the bathtub, nor jet massage pipes were working in the main pool. We made a conclusion that maybe guests that were celebrating previous Saturday night did something, so, informed the owners and still had a great time.
