The Roman Empire Guesthouse

We stayed in the Roman Guest House for 2 night and had 3 days to explore Rome. The Locating of the hotel was perfect, it is about a 10 min walk to the Colosseum with the Forum Romano just down the road at a 5 min walk. The rest of Rome is easily accessible on foot and we only us the Metro to get to the Vatican as we enjoyed exploring Rome on foot. The rooms are excellent modern with good beds, air-conditioned and a good size bathroom. Flaminia and her team are extremely helpful and made our stay in Rome a great experience.

Overall nothing bad to report. The breakfast was delivered do our room and could do with a couple of extra pastries but when asked this was provided. The only addition that could improve the breakfast, would be some yogurt and fresh fruit.

I liked the size of the room, the heated towel racks and the big windows and PIN code access to the room.

The bathroom floor got so wet after each shower no matter how careful we tried to be. It was annoying stepping in puddles of water on the way to the toilet in the middle of the night. The air con was not working when we first got into the room, it did get fixed after we showed the housekeeper. We didn’t get the access instructions for the property til after few hours after check in time, one arrival we got into the main building because someone else left it and luckily the housekeeper was there to check us in and show us the room otherwise we would have been stuck outside in the heat.

Clean and close to downtown.
