Charming, small rural gite for a couple or small family. Smashing host.

We stayed only for one night on our way to Cherbourg, but we would come back in a heartbeat and for a longer stay. The small cottage is in a completely private, enclosed green space at the side of the main holiday gite. Lovely place to sit out on the sunloungers or having lunch on the small patio area. Inside is exceptionally clean, calm and beautifully decorated with some really nice local touches. Really comfortable bed too. Sue, the owner, has thought of just about everything to make your stay comfortable, including a range of teas and coffees. Sue, thank you for everything. It was a pleasure to meet you and we really appreciated your friendly welcome, information, and your flexibility in accommodating our last-minute change in check-in arrangements. And we especially enjoyed Tiddles' evening and morning visits in her quest for treats! We'll make a point of returning on our next visit to this part of France.

Door instead of heavy curtain between the bedroom and bathroom would be something to consider, but I can see that the layout of the gite might make this tricky.

Good for roughing it à la kumbaya

The lawn. The coffee. The privacy.

The shower is stuck on hot (shower components are so cheap, why not maintain it well?) The beds are thin and creaky. The bedding is from another decade. So many spiders. The baby bed doesn't function and doesn't fit. No baby chair. There is no bath (no matter what the description says). The location is only good if you plan on driving 40min+ to attractions every day. The garden chairs in the photos are broken. The oven only heats from the bottom. No drying rack for dishes. It's on a farm with horses and that means there are more flies than average.

Gîte très bucolique, en pleine nature, à 2 pas de la voie verte. De déjeuner face à une prairie (avec présence de pies à moins de 2 mètres). Côté fonctionnel de la maison en linéaire (sorte de grand mobil-home) entrée - cuisine, puis séjour/salon, chambre et pour finir toilettes/douche.

La propriété était très bien située à la campagne et joliment décorée, la propriétaire est bien aimable, nous n'avons manqué de rien, l'équipement de la maison est tout à fait correct et le linge de maison était propre

L'accès n'était pas facile à localiser. le gps ne fait pas la distinction entre la ransonnière du haut et la ransonnière du bas, mais la propriétaire nous a vues de loin et nous a contactées par gsm.
