Hôtel Vaubecour - Centre Lyon Ainay - Perrache

The hotel is nice and well kept. It is, overall, very clean and somewhat comfortable. The breakfast is very fresh and of top quality, despite being small and everyday the same. It seems to be an OK hotel for someone who seeks some overnight accommodation. Staff was amazing, very friendly.

This hotel does not have any AC. We visited Lyon during the heat wave and it was unbearable. We had a fan inside our room but that was not a solution, as it gave us a feeling as if we would be inside a car with the heat and fan on full power during the summer. Also, very low light conditions and no semi-transparent curtains to seize daylight. The breakfast was very good but everyday the same. No minibar in order to keep our water cold.

Great location, close to old city. Friendly and helpful staff, yummy breakfast.

Housed in an authentic Lyonnais building, the hotel offers tastefully decorated rooms and a level of cleanliness and modernity that surpasses many three-star establishments. The rooms are well equipped, featuring a hairdryer, a kettle, and complimentary tea and coffee.

The location is great, near all sightseeings. The room was clean. Small elevator made my life easier to get in with big luggage. The bed was rather comfortable.

There is no AC and it’s the biggest issue during summer time. There is no mini bar or fridge in the room as well. So you can use cold water from breakfast room until it’s available. Breakfast is not my favorite one (2 peace of cheese, croissant, baguette, butter and jam), such breakfast you can find in any cafe around
