Restful, charming stay in a stunning property in a beautiful area

The house is beautifully decorated and situated between Azay and some other lovely villages. Lots to see on your doorstep. Wonderful garden with the river running through. Everything you need and very friendly owners.

Azay Retreat

We would have appreciated an information book, especially as things like the location of the WiFi code were not immediately obvious, communication was limited due to language problems. The flooring is mainly wooden with rush matting which made it a "noisy" house, a bit of "comfort" underfoot would have been nice especially upstairs. The DVD player didn't work well and everything on TV was in French. Remember to take toilet roll!!!

The location was very good, easy access to main roads and the Route De Vin. The Chateau at Azay le Rideau is a must see. The house has a beautiful garden, (albeit across the main road), very restful by the stream, with swans. The house was warm, and sofas and beds very comfortable, spotlessly clean.

Pour pouvoir profiter un petit peu plus du logement, il serait appréciable de pouvoir s’y installer à partir de 16h et de pouvoir le quitter à 11h.

Une halte agréable au sein de cette belle région

Nous avons apprécié l’emplacement, le calme et le très beau jardin au bord de l’eau même s’il faut traverser la rue pour y accéder

Nous avons moins apprécié la cuisine sans fenêtre à l’arrière de la maison. La salle à manger spacieuse mériterait une décoration plus cosy

Fijn huis met alles wat je nodig hebt voor een mooie vakantie.

Mooi huis met alles wat je nodig hebt voor een fijn verblijf. Ruime kamers en een comfortabel bed. Goed uitgeruste keuken. Aan de overkant van de straat is een grote tuin aan het water waar je heerlijk kunt genieten van de stilte en de natuur. De zeer vriendelijke eigenaar stond al klaar om ons de sleutels te overhandigen. Ze wonen naast het huis en zijn dus makkelijk te benaderen, ook via Whatsapp of per telefoon.
