I spent two nights at Ljubo & Ana’s place while visiting Plitvice Lakes in November, just as the first snow fell. Even before my arrival, Ana and Ljubo were incredibly helpful, patiently answering all my questions. Thanks to Ana’s advice, I was able to visit the park immediately after arriving by bus, which turned out to be my last opportunity before large parts of it were closed due to heavy snowfall.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with everything I needed. The house is only a 15-minute walk from the park, making it a perfect base for visiting Plitvice.
Ana and Ljubo were truly exceptional hosts. Ljubo helped me with my luggage, and on my first morning Ana brought me homemade cookies that reminded me of those my grandmother used to bake. After returning from a particularly snowy second day, Ana brushed the snow off my coat, and on my departure day she even woke up very early to make sure I could safely reach the bus despite the snow.
Their kindness and care made my stay unforgettable, and I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

Very cozy and clean. Good location close to Entrance 1. Ana was such a lovely host, ensuring we had everything we needed, and provided a delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend it!

Very close to Plitvice NP, apparently there is a back path to get there quickly but I didn’t know this and we drove. Anyway, 5 min drive. Fantastic view from the balcony which you can sit out on. Room has air con, heating, microwave, kettle, fridge.
We had the studio. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, no blankets or top sheet and the duvets are too hot even in Spring. We kept hitting our heads on slanted ceiling in bathroom, kitchen and bedroom as it is built into the eaves. There are four seats in the lounge area, it would be less cramped with either just the two chairs or just the couch. Bathroom is very small and cramped – hot water was tepid on first day, nearly cold on second – I had to get in and out quickly so couldn’t wash my hair. Shower gel provided but no shampoo. We would not stay here again.
