Very nice stay with excellent friendly staff! Very good made to order breakfast on a beautiful rooftop deck. Price is quite reasonable.

The staff managed to arrange for us a private car transfer from Fes on the first day of Eid with just a few days notice as our original transport cancelled, we really appreciated this! They also provided complimentary laundry service which was great. Our room has a nice unblocked view to the mountains too, and you can have your breakfast on their terrace with the same view. The building is accessible by car so we did not have to walk through the medina area with our luggages.

The bathroom needs an upgrade and looks very dated, especially the shower. There are no windows due to the design of the building, so there isn't sufficient ventilation and there are signs of mold in the shower area.

The location was absolutely perfect in the heart of Chefchaouen. Having breakfast on the rooftop with a beautiful view of the Spanish Mosque and the mountains was unforgettable. The staff were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and very attentive throughout our stay. The atmosphere of the riad was cozy, peaceful, and authentic.

Honestly, everything was wonderful.

It would’ve been very useful to have received upfront parking instructions & how to get there, as Chefchouan has countless “park & walk” guides (although they look more like a scam and actually tried to scam us rather than pointing us the right direction to the hotel). After calling the hotel they helped us to the right place and facilitated parking instructions front of the hotel - altogether very well resolved by Dar Elrio, but we had rather been saved the hassle upfront :)
