The location was superb and we had a loo with a view! CoolcowerHouse has great character and it was dressed nicely for Christmas. There’s plenty of convenient parking. The staff are very friendly. The beds are comfy. There was a useful table and chairs by the window. Everything was very clean and the shower was great. The breakfasts were very nice.
The heating went off a bit early for us on a cold night - around 10 p.m. it was fine when we got up but we were cold during the night. The outside entrance has a door on a VERY strong spring, but we learned to jump out of the way pretty quickly (it reminded us of Arkwright’s till in Open all Hours 🤣)

Place is not far from Blarney Castle, and has amazing farm and walking path around hotel. Farm has sheep and cows. Breakfast is included, and is a great Irish breakfast
