Clean, friendly, good value, good location

There was nothing I disliked

The guesthouse owner is very nice lady. It is a family run business run by the owner and her hardworking family. They have been very kind to me during my stay. The guesthouse is clean. It is in a great location in the center of the old town. I would recommend

I liked everything

Slept like a baby, was all clean and comfortable, mama was very kind and we booked a great 2 day trek with elephants and hill tribes from her. It was all very easy and pleasant and also a great location, we walked everywhere.

cheap & very good location

While I can overlook the lack of basic amenities for the price (there was no toilet paper, no soap, washrooms didn’t get cleaned/trahsbins emptied once in two days, and you could hear absolutely everything happening not just next door but throughout the entire hostel) those issues weren’t what ultimately made my stay unpleasant. The real problem was the owner. From the moment I checked in, she was extremely unfriendly and made me feel as though I was inconveniencing her simply by being there. Instead of a welcome, I was immediately warned that everything was under CCTV surveillance in case I “misbehaved”. During my stay, I also witnessed her shouting — genuinely shouting — at other guests. I have never felt so unwelcome in accommodation before. If you don’t want people around, perhaps running a hostel isn’t the right choice.
