Incredible value and comfort in a great location.

This really is one of those properties that is deserving of more than a score of 10. The Apartment itself was spacious, comfortable and incredibly well equipped. The wonderfully welcoming owner who greeted us could not have been more helpful. She gave us a comprehensive tour of the facility and took a genuine interest in our plans for our visit. The kitchen equipment and facilities were all excellent. The bathroom was huge and both fresh and clean with plenty of towels. Our bedroom was quiet and airy which meant a great nights sleep. To the rear of the property was plenty space to park alongside the lovingly tended garden. Our hostess told us we were welcome to make use of the outdoor space and enjoy some outdoor living if we wished. The only difficulty for some less mobile would be access which is by spiral stairways. I found these quite easy to negotiate and to carry up luggage even as a 70 year old myself. The pretty village was surrounded by easy and very scenic walks. This area, the Eifel, is part of Germany that many, including ourselves, have tended to overlook in the past. I can say now that was a mistake. The landscape is peppered with old volcanic features that add so much interest to the many great local hiking opportunities. We would love to return and enjoy more of this wonderful part of the world sometime soon. Just one more plus, the living area has a door to a small balcony which was an amazing place to sit in the evening watching hundreds of House Martins swirling around with a magical scenic backdrop to enjoy. The value for money here was second to none.

TOO SHORT TO DO JUSTICE TO A BEAUTIFUL AREA. WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK.

THIS WAS AN ACCOMMODATION ONLY HIRE FOR MY DAUGHTER AND ME. WE CHOSE IT AS THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE LOCATION FOR ATTENDANCE AT THE BELGIAN GRAND PRIX IN SPA, SOME 75 KM AWAY. OUR STAY INVOLVED VERY EARLY STARTS AND LATE RETURNS SO WE DID NOT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THE BEAUTIFUL LOCATION. BUT FRAU BLUM'S RENTAL WAS PERFECT FOR US, AS WE COULD COME AND GO AS WE PLEASED. FRAU BLUM COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL. I HAVE REASONABLE GERMAN SO THERE WERE NO LANGUAGE ISSUES. ALL IN ALL AN EXCELLENT STAY. WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THE JOURNEY TO THE RACETRACK WERE SHORTER, BUT THE ROADS WERE REASONABLY QUIET AT 4.30AM, SO THIS WASN'T A PROBLEM. WE ALSO KNEW THIS IN ADVANCE.

Comfortabel appartement, centraal in de Eifel

Geweldig comfortabel appartement met een nette inrichting, fijne bedden en een balkon en terras om bij mooi weer buiten te zijn. De gastvrouw ontving ons allervriendelijkst en we voelden ons zeer welkom. Het plaatsje is centraal gelegen en een prima uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen.

Nadeel is de beide trappen om de woning te bereiken. Was wel van tevoren bekend.

Trevligt, rymligt och mycket fräscht boende

Trevlig lägenhet med gott om plats, sköna sängar, stort och mycket fräscht badrum! Så rofyllt att bo i en by på landet. Mycket fin utsikt! Passade oss fyra vuxna som var på Spa- Frankochamps Formel 1 i Belgien med detta boende.

Behalve de trap was het verder heel fijn.

Het was een heel gezellig appartement met heel veel leuke spulletjes. Het was heel sfeervol.

We dachten, eigen ingang, dat is op de begane grond, maar het was een flinke klim, wat voor mij niet erg handig is. Daar hadden we zelf beter op moeten letten.

Goede locatie voor wat we wilden zien/doen. Zeer schoon appartement, complleet en heerlijke bedden.

Jammer dat de slaapkamer met 2-persoons bed, aan de kant van de opkomende zon, geen rolluiken heeft.

mooie locatie, minder geschikt voor een gezin met jongere kinderen

Mooie locatie, fijne keuken met alles wat je nodig hebt, zoals een goede oven. Een grote tuin en een mooi balkon op het zuiden. Grote badkamer. Leuk restaurantje in de straat.

We vonden de bedden oncomfortabel (hard matras) en in 1 slaapkamer ontbrak een goede verduistering. De eigenaresse woont zelf beneden en dat is onhandig als je (jongere) kinderen hebt (ivm eventueel geluidsoverlast waarvan zij zelf ook aangeeft veel last van te hebben).

Heerlijk appartement in een prachtige omgeving.

Wat een geweldig appartement. Het was van alle gemakken voorzien! Ruime woonkamer met een bank en eettafel. Keuken met alles erop en eraan. Twee fijne slaapkamer en een grote badkamer met een fijne douche. Het appartement was hartstikke schoon en de dame die ons heeft ontvangen was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De omgeving is prachtig. In het dorp is niets te beleven maar de bierstube in het dorp is erg gezellig, bijna altijd druk en heeft meer dan geweldige schnitzels. ! Zeker een aanrader. Steffeln ligt mooi centraal voor een bezoek aan luxemburg vlinderuin of bitburg brouwerij, cochem en monchau. Alles op een uurtje. Dichterbij een hele leuke kapel waar je naartoe kunt wandelen, een geweldige vulkaan vallei met een mooie wandeling, een kratermeer en het plaatsje Gerolsteiner heeft een geweldige bakkerij waar je heerlijk kunt lunchen en naar de bron kunt gaan. Zalig water om te drinken en een hele leuke grote speeltuin.

De twee (draaiende) trappen zijn iets om rekening mee te houden, maar zeker geen reden om niet voor dit appartement te kiezen. Wel rekening mee houden bij ouderen of kleine kinderen. Ik vond het jammer dat je alleen in de woonkamer naar buiten kunt kijken. De andere kamers hebben allemaal een dakraam maar daardoor kun je alleen naar de lucht kijken. Ze zijn zo hoog dat ik ze ook niet open kon maken, dat kan alleen als je wat langer bent. Er zijn in het dorp geen voorzieningen dus je bent wel autoafhankelijk voor boodschappen of een bakker.
