Pure village life: Our castle (built in 1509) is located in the middle of the picturesque Schönecker Switzerland in the old and quiet village of Hersdorf.
Our comfortably furnished apartment in the former barn is an ideal starting point for hikes and explorations of the Eifel - from the volcanic Eifel with the Maaren on the Hohe Venn up to Luxembourg.
Guests with children are as welcome as guests with pets.
Just come here and let your mind wander.

We had a great stay and enjoyed the comfort and warm sphere in the house. Lots of space in but also outside the house. Nothing was missing!

Wir haben in dieser hübschen Ferienwohnung einen tollen Urlaub verbracht. Es war alles da, was man benötigt. Auch die Waschmaschine konnten wir nach Absprache mit der Vermieterin benutzen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten haben wir schon vor Urlaubsantritt bei ihr erfragen können, da im Dorf selbst keine mehr vorhanden sind.

Deze woning uit 1507 is goed uitgerust ( misten alleen een kledingkast )met een heerlijk binnenplaats met veranda waar je heerlijk kunt zitten. Wifi werkte heel goed, maar hadden verder geen bereik. Eigenares was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Helaas moesten we ivm met ziekte eerder naar huis...Prachtige, rustige omgeving!! Zeer zeker de moeite waard!! Die Ferienwohnung war gut ausgestattet, inklusive reichlich Informationen und Kartenmaterial zu Eifel, Wandern und Ausflugszielen. Die Umgebung und Lage war beschaulich und ruhig, ein guter Ausgangspunkt für alle Unternehmungen.Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Mit viel Liebe und Handwerk ist diese Ferienwohnung hergerichtet worden, soweit wir wissen aus der ehemaligen Scheune der Burg aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Sehr empfehlenswert !!

Im Februar Radurlaub in der Eifel? Es hat sehr gut funktioniert! Als Standort hatten wir diese schöne Ferienwohnung gewählt. In historischem Gebäude, sehr schön eingerichtet und komfortabel ausgestattet wurde uns alles Erwünschte geboten. Tagsüber erkundeten wir per Rad die Umgebung und abends verbrachten wir gemütliche Zeit vor dem Kaminofen. Die Wohnung ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Den Hausherren der alten Vogtsburg ist es gelungen, in die dicken alten Mauern eines Nebengebäudes ein gemütliches Feriendomizil mit allem erdenklichen Komfort der Neuzeit geschmackvoll zu integrieren. Auf 70m² verteilen sich ein großzügiger Wohn- Essbereich mit offener Küche, Dusche und WC, Windfang am separaten Eingang und als Highlight ein Schlafzimmer im offenen Maisonettstil. Die zeitlose Möblierung ist von hoher Qualität und für 2 Erwachsene + 2 Kinder üppig ausgelegt. Die Bestückung der modernen Küche mehr als komplett und erfordert nur alle paar Tage den Einsatz der Spülmaschine. Für wohlige Wärme und romantische Stunden sorgt neben der Zentralheizung ein moderner Ofen mit großem Sichtfenster. Der teilweise überdachte Außenbereich mit Schwenkgrill, Tischen und Stühlen im Innenhof seht auch den Besuchern zur Verfügung. Das Haus liegt am Rand eines kleinen Eifeldorfes: sehr ruhig; kein Hund bellt, kein Hahn kräht zu Unzeiten und die nahegelegene Kirche lässt auch erst um sieben Uhr morgens von sich hören. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, sehr aufmerksam, sehr hilfsbereit, ohne jedoch aufdringlich zu erscheinen. Sie sind eine sprudelnde Quelle für alle Art von Informationen rund um die Südeifel (und weit darüber hinaus), ihre Menschen, ihre Kultur, ihre Geschichte, Fauna, Flora etc. Fazit: rundum nur empfehlenswert!
