Guest House La Casetta

A small and cosy studio apartment with a mezzanine bedroom in the historic part of town. Very quiet and easy access to the duomo and castle. Ideal one night stop over when visiting Villa Romana del Casale.

We booked the two bedroom apartment but it was only one bedroom, which has the single bed. The double bed is in the living room/kitchenette area.

It is a good place to crash out for the night or two. It is quiet, and the owner is very helpful. Just text him. He came out and met us after we struggled to find the place.

The host was very helpful in giving directions to the place and very fast and friendly in communication. The apartment is cozy and a great opportunity for an authentic stay in the historic downtown district.

There was no breakfast.

The room is fine and interesting. Smallish but not overly so. There are no facilities for coffee making or heating water as no jugs can be used. And no facility for heating food eg microwave etc. The owner did fill a thermos I had for coffee in the morning but it was fairly cold and water was luke warm in the morning! There is no parking near the premises as the streets are very narrow. You park somewhere a hundred to hundred and fifty meters away and carry your bags over cobblestones. As the location is on the top of a hill, streets are very steep. A young person not looking for glamour would handle this place fine. But not recommended for older people like us. I'm in my 70's. Struggled with bags despite the owner's son helping on arrival, no one to help when we left.
