Great Eastern Motor Lodge

Stayed 3 nights this time. Loved the room looking out over the pool. Very comfortable. Had everything I needed. Great location, close to shops and the Swan river. Did some great walks along the river. All the staff were fabulous & helpful. I’ll be back again next year.

We picked this accommodation for the location to the airport. They have a free shuttle bus that picked us up after returning our hire car to the airport, and then returned us to the airport early the next day for our flight home. The room itself was adequate size. Staff friendly. It is an extremely large Motel and would have over 100 rooms. There was a sign saying housekeeping is only done on request if staying multiple nights. We only stayed one night.

The bathroom was very small, the height of the shower also low, the toilet was extremely close to the wall and the toilet roll was practically on your legs. When untucking the bed on one side before going to bed, noticed the bottom sheet was VERY wrinkled and not tucked in at all on the other side, it was all folded up inside. This made me suspicious of if the bed was remade before our stay. Usually, the bottom sheet is stretched flat and tucked before the blankets are added. It made me uncomfortable not knowing if we slept on clean sheet. I hoped it was just a very badly made bed by housekeeping. But this fact let them down and lowered my rating.
