Ortigia Tropical Lodge

Everything - all the staff are so warm and welcoming. Really lovely people. They take really good care of the place. They also make a cracking breakfast! Special mention for the cinnamon pancakes and the fruit. The room was spotless and really up together. Shower pressure was great. Water refill station was really appreciated. Pool/garden/sunbed area is great. AC works really well. They organised bike rental and a snorkelling tour for us. They’ve really created a peaceful oasis that was always so nice to come ‘home’ to. We were sad to leave. Also the little touches like shampoo, flannels, a rainbow light catcher on the window, pool towels made it really comfortable. We also had a hair dryer, safe box, kettle. We’ve stayed in 6 different places in Indonesia and this was the best - by a lot. We would love to return. Also the bed was super comfortable!

The location was great. Comfortable room and pleasant staff. Very clean. Close to the beach, walkable distance.

Breakfast was very ordinary. Portion was also limited.

The room was really pretty beautiful wood and bathroom and pool was nice.

The mattress was really uncomfortable my half had springs noticeable event in my back and it slumped in the middle, the staff were nice at the beginning and then became less and less supportive by the end of the 4 night trip.

Nice location, pool is surrounded by plants so nice and cool. Property itself is very well maintained, clean and nice to be in.

Unfortunately my “private garden room” was in front of the main path which has people constantly walking past so.. there is no privacy, further, it was connected to where the staff sleep, which I could hear them playing in their phones, coughing, and was even woken up by their alarm at 5am 2 mornings - feeling like I was in a shared hostel than a private oasis. The room was very dark, and while the aircon was nice it would have been great to have a fan to sleep with. Water was also surprisingly not provided/free.
