Wijenayake's - Beach Haven Guest House - Galle Fort

Great location, friendly stuff, huge and delicious breakfast.

I had a pleasant stay here. While the room was on the smaller side and the amenities felt a bit aged, everything was in perfect working order. The shared kitchen, which included a water cooler, was a convenient feature, and guests could easily make a quick coffee or tea there. This guesthouse was one of the most budget-friendly options in the area and offered excellent value at the time of my booking. Located near the end of the fortress and close to the lighthouse, the guesthouse was in a quieter part of town while still within walking distance of the train station.

The edge of the mattress was a bit saggy.

It was spotlessly clean and in a great location in the fort. The staff were kind and very helpful. Really nice breakfast. Good value for money.

It feels worn in places, e.g. rust in the bathroom. There were quite a few ants in the room and bathroom, also on the terrace. There was a lot of noise very late into the night on both nights I stayed. Not the guesthouse’s fault - there were signs asking to keep quiet so not sure what else they can do.
