Monte Verde Tayrona

Juan and Gloria are marvelous hosts. Monte Verde is a true paradise and they help make it so with delicious food, cordial hospitality. They know Parque Tayrona well and will assist in any way they can.

The room was clean and the bed was big as well as the bathroom. The meals they served were good. It is located close to Tayrona’s park. The staff was friendly.

They didn’t have good internet and we wanted to pay with e-wallets or even with card but it was complicated so I consider that they should have a back up plan in case of any emergency. It was difficult to get their replies to our questions by this platform or by what’s app (they said they didn’t have electricity) because we wanted to go to Tayrona so we wanted to get updates about the entrance as in the website isn’t clear. There aren’t many restaurants around. It was raining heavily and there was a lot of water coming inside the bathroom, they should fix the water leakage

Very sweet details and the cook is amazing! She does amazing things and the food tastes increadible! Rooms are very sweet decorated with hammocks and the like. The host Thomas is increadible and super helpful with everything - when a problem comes up (although not in his power like an electricity breakdown in the area) he tries everything to solve it and does solve it (organized an own powerplant!) - great experience!!

Water is not running strong but I think this is in every hostel/hotel in that area the case.

The location is close to Tayrona park entrance. If you does not have accommodation in the park it is a nice spot.

The kitchen staff was rude and we could not get our breakfast there despite having a nice kitchen and fruits on display. Dinner was decent.
