The property was close enough to the description and the pictures on the booking site.
communication is a disaster. on arrival which has its challenges by itself, there was no information provided on how to get into the apartment or where to park the car ( one filter setting on booking.com was “free parking” ). After a trip to town, late lunch and a coffee, I received a SMS detailing to park in front of the house, a code to open the door and the info that the key to the apartment is in the apartments door lock. The house is on a narrow, highly frequented two lane road. In order to park the car at the assigned spot one has to either stop traffic or hope for a gap in it ( see picture ). Since we had two cars we were advised to park the second car 60m away where two cars easily could be parked without blocking the driveway which was labeled “private”.
On our return to the second car the next day, we found a note attached on the window and the cars passengers side keyed ( see pictures ).
We rang the doorbell at the gate and a man came down the driveway joining us outside of his gated property. He confirmed that he had left the note, that he had nothing to do with the damage and that there is no agreement with the owner of our rented apartment that would endorse us to park and leave our car on his premises.

Host was very helpful.
Parking was safe and secure behind locked gates.
Air conditioning or fly screens over windows would have made our stay more comfortable. However the weather was particularly hot while we were there and our host did bring us a fan from his own home.

The house is located 30 minutes away from the center of Florence. The host is very friendly and hospitable. There is a cozy backyard with the garden, where you can sit if the weather is good. The bus stop is only 50 meters away from the house. Busses run every 15 minutes. One way ticket is €2,50. It’s very easy to get to the center and back.
