Silverstone Golf Club - 5 stars!

The property was excellent, really good size for the 3 of us, great spot, perfect location for Silverstone. It was awesome. The staff were lovely, the food was top notch, big bathroom. Check in and out was seamless, they’ve nailed it. Highly recommend especially for a racing weekend.

Nice place, comfortable, but one or two issues.

The location and the access details.

The shower water didn't heat up, leaving us to have luke warm showers. This was made even more unpleasant by the fact that the wall mounted towel heater also didn't heat up, meaning the whole bathroom was cold.

An OK stay, but expensive for what you get.

It was very easy to get the keys from the key safe and the room was comfortable with reasonable facilities. The bed was comfortable and the size stated on the website. The staff we did see were friendly. The main menu for breakfast was OK.

I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the room - both the mugs were dirty and the toilet seat was broken. The breakfast was also disappointing - when advised that we could help ourselves to what was in the "buffet" all that was on offer was tea, coffee, juice, a few cereals and a yoghurt. There was no fruit at all and no sign of any pastries or toast, as described in the breakfast advertised. We asked whether there was any fruit and we were advised that all that they had were apples. The main menu was OK, but not great. Overall, I felt that what we received was not worth what we paid.

The hotel had been in regular contact in leading up to our stay and we had very clear instructions about our stay, key safe and available food for the evening.

A really good find for a funeral in Banbury and a wake in Whittlebury, good value for money; restful

The bed was spacious and comfortable. There was lots of storage, including for long-hanging items, with hangers you can take completely off the rail. Good shower with excellent pressure. Good hospitality tray and the in-room fridge was a real bonus. Restaurant food was generous, of good quality and arrived promptly. We were only there for 2 nights for a funeral, but you could have gone for a week and not had any issues around unpacking all your clothes. Lovely large bath-sheets (2 each) and towel-warmer in the shower-room and, although this might sound odd to some people, really good quality toilet paper!

Privacy - although there were curtains at the door and across the windows, you have no privacy once these are opened, as you are looking right onto the golf-course, so do keep them closed until you're ready! Lock-box was tricky in the dark at 19:45. Shower-unit door was in need of attention (Room 9).

Thoroughly enjoyable

Room was very comfortable and its location overlook the pond and the golf course was lovely. Food was very good and the staff bent over backwards to be helpful.

Shower could do with a good scrub with bleach between the tiles and around the base.

A pleasant stay, in ideal position for Silverstone circuit.

Very pleasant room overlooking the golf course, very quiet. Nice to find water in the room in addition to the tea, coffee and biscuits. A good selection of cooked breakfasts - generous portions. We ate once in the restaurant and the sirloin steaks were particularly good.

We found the restaurant rather chilly, it lacked colour and was a little soulless, although in fairness we did arrive in the middle of a storm.

Lovely place to stay in beautiful location.

Fantastic location for the Silverstone Race track , touring around and Blackpit Brewery event farm. Modern and clean chalet rooms with lovely views of the golf course. Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly.

Just need to clear breakfast tables bit more especially when guests had gone.

Key collection easy, room large with a pleasant view of the golf course and small pond. Staff were friendly and the room was a good size and the bed comfortable.

The breakfast was not extensive enough, particularly in terms of the continental aspect - there was not enough choice and what was there could have been higher quality. The small areas of mould on the mastic around the shower tray should be attended to.

Location to Silverstone was perfect. Golf course looked fabulous although not playing on this occasion. Accommodation was fairly basic but beautifully positioned overlooking the golf course. Staff were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was tasty.

Pleasant

The location was very convenient and easy to get to (we had travelled over 100 miles so glad we weren't hunting for it!). The rooms overlooked a lovely pond and the golf course. The staff were very accommodating and friendly! Breakfast was good for an included price.

There were no blinds on the windows which meant the golfers or fellow guests could see straight in the window which wasnt ideal unless you wanted to get dressed in the bathroom. There were dead flies on the windowsill upon arrival. The wallpaper had seen better days. The sofa bed had a hard metal pole running down the middle which was very uncomfortable. It was £140 for a night's stay, which was very pricey for the accommodation, I'd expect to pay around the £90 mark for somewhere like this.

Pretty views

shower was really good, venue was lovely with the little pond outside. Room was organised well. Loved the mini fridge, we got some milk from shop to make some more tea and coffee and put milk in the fridge!

Bed had a few different coloured hairs on it. Probably from the cleaners i presume but it did take us back a bit. Two long grey hairs and a couple gingery/aubern hairs. Bed wasn't very comfy but not sure if thats because my bed at home is very comfy and has fluffy pillows so wasn't the best night sleep but the room was really lovely otherwise.
