Hotel Block Suites

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I've had. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and the eSIM I used throughout my entire trip somehow lost signal only inside this hotel. The male staff member with glasses who works the day shift was incredibly rude. I paid extra for early check-in, and I was given the room right next to one undergoing major construction. Nobody else was even staying near it. The noise was unbearable, and every time they drilled or hammered, my bed literally shook. Are you telling me he didn't know the room next door was under heavy renovation? I put up with it for a day, then went down the next morning and politely asked them to fix the situation. I expected at least one "sorry." Instead, he hesitated like he really didn't want to move me, and finally changed my room without a single word of apology. I told him clearly: "I'm staying several more nights and I don't want to switch rooms again, so please make sure this one is fine. Otherwise I'll move to another hotel, because I can't sleep with this noise." He assured me that wouldn't happen. The very next morning, I got an early call telling me to "come down." When I asked what it was about, he just kept repeating "come down." When I got there, he told me I had to move to a different floor. After everything I had confirmed with him. At that point I didn't even want to argue anymore, so I just moved. And here's the best part: when I extended my stay, I had paid extra to upgrade from a Deluxe to a Superior King. But the room on the new floor turned out to be the exact same Deluxe type I had on the first day. I didn't even bother bringing it up, because I simply did not want to deal with that rude staff member again. On my last morning, I was in a rush to get to the airport, and as I was checking out he stopped me and insisted I fill out a paper review. I told him I didn't have time, but he said I had to, and basically made me do it. I gave it 1 star. I hope that paper didn't conveniently end up in the trash. On top of the service and Wi-Fi, the bathroom smelled and the bedding was very uncomfortable. I've traveled to over 20 countries and this is the first review I've ever written. No hotel or hostel I've stayed at has had service this bad. If you don't want to apologize, at least smile. Don't stand there expressionless ordering guests to "change rooms" and "come down." And please, fix the Wi-Fi. Honestly, I didn't want to be in this hotel for a single moment. The only good thing is the location.

Blue Suites Hotel – Chapineiro A good hotel, small rooms, but modern and clean. Limited facilities on a quiet residential street in the Chapineiro area close to restaurants and shops and restaurants. Only complaint, I requested a standard bed and the size was very small for 2 people.
