I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort and quality in the area.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety and high quality. The staff serving breakfast was friendly and attentive, making the mornings even more pleasant. The room was comfortable, spotless, and well-equipped, ensuring restful nights. The location is another major plus: just a few minutes from Europa Park by car, which made getting around very easy.

I didn’t notice any negative aspects during the stay. There was a curious moment during the stay: a staff member called, while we still were in the park, regarding a supposed request to change rooms and claimed to have spoken with my wife — which, in fact, never happened. It didn’t affect our experience, but it was an odd misunderstanding.

Fabulous base for Europa Park

Great location, 10 minute easy walk to Europa Park. Our room was very clean, comfortable and modern. The staff are wonderful and very helpful.

We had so much space! Room 9 was definitely a win. Also the breakfast was great.

The electricity went out in the night, so our phones didn‘t charge but we told the staff and it was fixed in a few minutes.

- big, modern and clean flat - breakfast with many choices and eggs prepared on request - 10 minutes by walking from Europa Park - free parking - small attention at the arrival - staff available

would be even better if customers are informed in advance that the tourist tax includes free parking for Europa park and generally what this tax consists of, because I paid a parking ticket by my own prior to come to the hotel Otherwise all good

Overall just good.

I enjoyed the breakfast, the cozy rooms, and parking. It was close to Europa park and rulantica which was exactly what we wanted

It was a bit hard to check in since we had to call a phone number. There’s no receptionist when we arrived at 5pm. The whole check in process seemed odd. They told us our room numbers over the phone and said “the doors are unlocked and the key is in the room”. The beds and bedside lamps were very worn. The lamps were lopsided and the headboards/bed frame had pieces of fabric missing. This hotel had outstanding reviews and it seemed very average to me.

Everything went very well, the breakfast very good and the staff very efficient. I'd forgotten one dress in the wardrobe and a pair of sandals and they sent both items to my home address in Lisbon the next working day. I received the pack 5 days. It was really kind.

When you go to Europa Park or Rulantica, it is worth coming and staying here.

Excellent breakfast, beautiful terrace area where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning. Close to Europa Park where you can park for free for 1 day with a parking voucher from the hotel.

It seems like a bit of noisy location in the summer time. Over night we had to open all windows in the room due to a hot weather and we could hear some noise pretty much all night.

Very highly recommended - lovely hotel just as advertised

R&J hotel is pretty much as advertised, with no problems whatsoever. This is a lovely family run establishment - it is called a hotel but, and this might just be a cultural difference, it is more of what British people would think of as a really good Bed & Breakfast place. The staff were all friendly, attentive and approachable. The location is great and only a 20 minute stroll to Europa Park or Rulantica. The garden is gorgeous and a haven of tranquility withsoft chairs and hammocks to rest in the shade. Standards of cleanliness and maintenance are faultless, with it having a rather upmarket feel to it, this being further exemplified by good quality fixtures, fittings etc. The apartment is really large and airy, with 2 great beds and a lovely bathroom with bath & large shower. It has direct access onto the garden. All rooms have fully openable windows and also shutters to keep out the heat from the sun!! It feels very safe and well run. The area also feels very nice, safe and quiet. We didn't hear or see a single emergency vehicle siren during the 5 nights we were there. Rust is avery well kept area and has a good range of restaurants (check which days they are open on though). There are good bus services to get you out and about if you have the time. The hotel's location is quiet and there is a lovely little bakery a 5 minute walk away. R&J has a really good quality coffee machine which offers free drinks 24/7. There is a vending machine with soft drinks and beers/wine etc which is really handy. The breakfast is a simple but adequate with a very nice buffet selection of juices, cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, cheese & meats etc and there are boiled eggs, scrambled or omelette available.

- These are just some observations so that you can get a feel for the place & to assist you - they are are not criticisms of the hotel :-) - Check in seems a bit haphazard, depending on what staff are working (a number of arrivals occured whilst we were there and staff could not be located nor contacted on the phone numbers) - AS PER LISTING: There is no air conditioning - it was just about bearable when we were there using windows/shade & fans, but any warmer and it would probably be uncomfortable. - Pillows were feather filled - staff very promptly changed these for hypoallergenic when requested. - Shower in the room (not apartment) was very small, especially when compared to the luxury of the one in the apartment. Also, the area that people used to smoke at front of hotel was directly by window so smoke entered the room. - The rooms only had very small wardrobes and no chest of draws, shelves etc. - This isn't the hotel's fault, but there are no shops within walking distance apart from the small bakery. This would not be a problem if guests have a car or bike, but otherwise you will be very limited in purchases

Cozy clean hotel with caring owner

Impeccable clean, spacious rooms. Absolutely amazing patio with hammocks and cozy resting area. There is also а trampoline for kids. Free coffee, tea and fruit any time. Our room had super cute unique design with particularly comfy beds and pillows. The view from the room opens to a cozy water channel with swans 🦢 . Breakfast includes various choices of bread, dairy, pastry, ham, fish and fruit. Eggs are cooked individually for every guest according to their preference. Guests can enjoy their breakfast outside or inside. We liked our stay in the hotel very much. Totally recommend.

Very cleans and well presented. My train arrived several hours before check in but they were quite happy to keep my bags and give me the key before I spent the rest of the day at Europa Park. Was expecting to have to ask for my bag when I got back but they had already moved it into my room. Excellent service! And on my last day I only arrived for breakfast with around five minutes to spare and expecting just to pick over the left overs but the staff were still happy to make me scrambled eggs. in general a great experience and highly recommended for Europa Park if you do not want to spend on their own hotels. brilliant stay!
