Good location for the Nyugati pályaudvar metro station, and 4-6 tram line (both just outside apartment). Not central, but only a couple of metro stops away. 10-15 minute walk from the river. Large apartment with two bathrooms, which makes getting ready in morning / evening easier when a few people are trying to get ready at the same time. Apartment generally clean and tidy when we arrived. Kitchen reasonably well stocked, if a little haphazard. Even though the check-in time was late (7pm), Judit did allow us to drop our suitcases at the property at around 2pm when we arrived from the airport. This was appreciated. The apartment has air-conditioning, however the upper bedroom does not cool well, and would benefit from a fan to circulate air. For sleeping in the bedroom, it was a bit warm for us, but my brother on the sofa bed was very comfortable. On the whole, we have no major complaints, and would recommend this place to stay.

I had booked the apartment 12 months in advance to ensure accommodation during the F1 grand prix weekend, but was told a couple of days before arrival that the prices would be different to my booking reservations. Not a very good practice. We were asked to leave the apartment by 0930 on the day of departure, which we felt was a little early. However, there is a luggage storage facility quite close which was reasonably priced. Just be aware in case you enjoy a morning lay-in. Bedroom was a bit too warm at night. Fridge had not been emptied from the previous stay. Little more attention required from cleaners. The property would benefit from having a key lock box to allow guests to self check-in. This is getting quite common now when I travel, and it means that you don't have to wait for the host to be available.

This apartment saved our stay in Budapest during Formula 1 race weekend after another apartment was a fraud and was cancelled on our way there. Very good location for sightseeing. Close to a landromat, big shopping center, other shops and restaurants. The towels and bed linnen was nice and clean. Air condition was working (only near the kitchen) but with a fan we had some cold air in the livingroom as well.

It's an old building so there are some things the owner cannot do a lot about it but some repairs could have been done: fixing the shower holder in the bathroom, changing the shower head, and making sure the chairs are not broken. The dishwasher and washing machine were not working. We were rather unlucky to find dirty and moulded dishes in the dishwasher. The owner came and washed it all but it made us use only our camping stuff. There were a few other things not working: we couldn't close the windows overlooking the very busy street or not all the taps in the bathrooms were working. The owner was rather nice but she could make sure that the apartment makes a better impression. And definitely, it was overpriced. We spent 5 days in Vienna in a very nice apartment paying 500 euros less for the same number of days. I guess Formula 1 business makes the prices skyrocket and anything can be rented.
