Pension Efie

We loved our stay at Pension Efie! It has a great location near the port on Hydra — close to the cafes & shops but on a quiet side street. The rooms were simple but charming, clean, and very comfortable, and a good value. And Efie was a helpful and very nice! We would happily stay here again if we return!

Pension Efie is in a very central location, just a short walk from the port, making it easy to explore everything on foot. Ms. Efie herself was warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable, and one of our favorite features was the view from the beautiful stone-building windows, overlooking the port, the town, and the church. As a little extra tip, just a short walk from the port, near the entrance to the street leading to the guest house, Ms. Efie also has a lovely shop. You can find beautiful bags, clothing, small souvenirs, and local items there. It is well worth a visit and a lovely place to pick up a special reminder of your time in Hydra.

The only point worth mentioning is that there are quite a few steep steps leading to the property. This was not an issue for us, but it may be less convenient for older guests or anyone with mobility concerns.

It was really close to the port, the place was really clean and the balcony very cute. Also the staff was very polite and helpful.

Great location close to all the shops and restaurants and lovely family run business. Owner was always pleasant and attentive and did her best to action all our requests.

Hit and miss hot water, hit and miss wifi and small main bed. The bathroom has a few minor issues that need attention: low water pressure when showering and toilet wouldn’t flush properly every time.
