Very central

Room was spotless, bed was large & great (firm but I like that) & decent pillows. Lovely old house, we had a beautiful tall window opening onto a small balcony. Shower room was good & modern. Reception had a water cooler so cold drinking water was plenty. Free parking opposite in abundance.

Hot water took an age to come through. No hairdryer. Tea & coffee in reception was inadequate - no milk in fridge.

This place is centrally located, and has a great price. It's perfect to get out and explore the city. Room was comfortable, and had air conditioning which was definitely needed at this time of year. Everything worked, bathroom etc - we had no major problems with anything. The person in reception was friendly and offered tea/coffee and advice on things to do. She also allowed to let us keep our bags there while we waited for the bus which was greatly appreciated.

There were a few of small things. The person checking us in didn't really have a good knowledge of english. Not sure if they get many english speakers in Elvas, but luckily my Portuguese girlfriend was there to bridge the gap. Walls are super thin - you can hear everything. We'd be woken by the neighbouring room leaving the room in the morning. Lastly, there was nobody on reception when we checked out (at midday). We'd been sitting in the reception for like 15 minutes, trying to call the number in reception and on the website - eventually we got an answer and left the key with the cleaner, but it was frustrating (we didn't want to be charged extra or anything for a late check out). It was very strange for me to NOT have someone there during their specified checkout period.
