About this house rental
This beautifully decorated log cabin is located on a rural mountaintop and surrounded by forests, laurel thickets, and many varieties of wildlife. Enjoy many outdoors activities such as hiking the Appalachian Trail, exploring the wild horse colonies of Grayson Highlands State Park (called the 'sweetest miles of the AT [Appalachian Trail]' by Backpacker Magazine, August 2007), or taking a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are stocked trout streams and many historical places in the surrounding areas to explore.
The kitchen is well equipped and all linens are provided. Relax on the big wrap around porches as dusk falls or as the sun rises over the crest and enjoy nature at its finest as the turkeys fly over the ridge, or the deer emerge from their resting places in the laurels. Don't forget your camera!
All automobile drivers are encouraged to use a low gear and a steady moderate pace to approach the cabin. The driveway for this cabin is gravel, fairly straight, and has about a 30 degree incline. There is also a water break two thirds of the way up the hill. We encourage motorcycle riders to seriously consider this before booking this cabin.

Beautiful property for a secluded getaway in a quiet and beautiful area. Loved it.

This sweet cabin was exactly what we wanted. We needed a break from the heat and a remote and relaxing place to visit. Troutdale was so peaceful even on the 4th of July. Nothing to do there, but we took a 25 minute drive to Grayson Highlands State Park and enjoyed a beautiful hike. This is the cleanest rental I’ve ever seen! it reminded me of being at my grandmother’s house. Bring a good book and enjoy the glider swing on the front porch. We would definitely go back again someday.

We had a wonderful time at the 2 sisters cabin. We had 4 couples in our group and there was ample sleeping, socializing, cooking and bathroom facilities. The cabin is very well cared for, we'll built and comfortable.the owners were very attentive to us and easy to communicate with. Everything worked like it should and the owners had well placed instructions in areas, or for equipment that were easy to follow. It was a great price for a great cabin and was beautifully located in a quiet property, making our stay most enjoyable. We'll be back!
