'River Dream Cabin' on New River w/ Fire Pit

The river view, the decks, the amount of space in the property, cleanliness. The owners left a bag of snacks and a bottle of wine for us on arrival.

The beds were worn out and very uncomfortable. The stove burners were uneven and irregular, very difficult to cook on which is a huge problem since the area is incredibly remote, no restaurants or delivery so burnt or undercooked food on the stove or sandwiches are the only options. The pool table is in need of serious repairs. You can use it if you're just completely goofing off but the house walls, doors, and cabinets all prevent you from actually shooting pool because it isn't spaced nearly far enough away to make a shot, plus the felt on the table is torn and the wall of the ball return is broken off so the balls just hit the floor after you sink them. This is a joke and shouldn't be advertised as an amenity. The large head of the dual shower head in the main level shower didn't work so just the small handheld piece worked. We were EXTREMELY upset that we weren't warned of the work being done on the neighbor's home for 4 of our 7 days. A crew of workers yelling, drilling, hammering, etc. from day break until dusk in a house that I can throw a rock at and hit. On top of that, the neighborhood was being paved and the roads were not passable a lot of the time and no one bothered to tell us in advance and/or give us a map of the neighborhood so we could try to find a way out (it's large and complicated but we did eventually find a route). The owners never responded to my request made over a month in advance to drop 1 night from the rental so we paid for a night that was not needed and the request was before the free cancellation date so it should have been honored. I wanted to love this but it really was not what I expected and not worth what I paid at all. Extremely disappointing.
