Breakfast amazing! the pool is superb, very well centered in the historic area. Easily accessible (although streets are narrow in Cartagena) lovely staff

Everything about this hotel is totally excellent. The property itself is stunning and exceptionally clean—I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the design and atmosphere are. The staff is incredibly professional, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Their attitude is amazing; their first response to any request is always, "Yes, we can help you with that." It makes you feel truly looked after. A very special mention goes to the on-site restaurant, El Gobernador. After spending 15 days in Cartagena trying brunch and breakfast spots all over the city, I can confidently say that the best breakfast is right here in the hotel. It is worth staying here just for the breakfast alone! Another highlight is the rooftop terrace. It is exquisite, offering an incredibly beautiful view of the Old City and Cartagena. There is also a great bar up there to enjoy the scenery with a drink. I have no doubt that this is the best place for a relaxing and pleasurable stay. Do not hesitate to book it!

Rooms are very poorly serviced - often times leaving just one towel, empty tissue box, one day even a bed sheet that was ripped Had to request numerous room changes because many had very loud noises from outside A/C units - which is fine if you do not mind noise but not if you like to sleep in a quiet room Despite an extended and multiple stay was never approached by a manager to query about my stay - despite some of the issues I had The floor of the roof top by the pool is a big health hazard as stone and very slippery when wet - a disaster waiting to happen The gym room is a joke - machines super old and wobbly Main girl at reception super dour and never breaks a smile
