Andorra Tourist Resort Anuradhapura

We booked a deluxe double room with a paddy field view and it wasn't enough with the space and we changed the room to a deluxe triple room on extra charge. It also had the view of paddy with a small outdoor area with a balcony overlooking the paddy field. We had tea coffee packets with two water bottles on arrival , but it wasn't refilled the next day. Pool was small ,but enough to have a dip during the hot sunny day to cool down. Our 19 Months old girl loves water which took us to this place. Pool was clean enough to have a dip.

As someone who works actively within the Sri Lankan tourism industry and travels extensively around the island, I always love supporting small family-run businesses. While this property has great potential and offers excellent value for money, the overall hospitality left a lot to be desired. The Positives: Facilities & Value In terms of the property itself, the facilities are absolutely worth the price tag. It is comfortable, and we were very happy with what we paid for the stay. Cleanliness needs to be upgraded a bit. Hospitality & Professionalism Unfortunately, we did not feel the true Sri Lankan warmth and hospitality that is so characteristic of this country. The owners could benefit from brushing up on their professionalism and guest relations. As parents of a 19-month-old, we prepare our own baby food to avoid sugar and salt. After struggling to find suitable options at local restaurants, we asked the owners if we could use their facilities to prepare a quick meal using our own ingredients. We were made to feel quite unwelcome, which is highly unusual for anywhere on this island while trsvelling around the island. Also we felt unwelcomed at the first sight on the first day and later treated differently on two days. Dining & Breakfast Inconsistencies We booked a bed-and-breakfast stay. On the first day, we were served a Sri Lankan breakfast, but it completely lacked fruits, tea, or coffee. On the second day, when the house was fully booked, we choose a Western breakfast that did include fruits and tea/coffee. However, we were advised that if we wanted milk with our hot drinks, we had to pay for it separately, which felt a bit restrictive for a BB stay. The Major Concern: The In-Room Information Sheet The most disappointing part of our stay was the information sheet we found in the room drawer (photo attached). As a Sri Lankan, it was deeply disheartening to read.

Nothing to complain about at all

Good location and parking available. Close to main sights of Anuradhapura. Room clean and comfortable.

Some small renovations going on while we were there but it didn’t affect us too much.

Staff was very friendly and the lady assisted us was amazing .

Bathrooms are not that great
