Charming B&B a short drive out from Chalais, with a hearty breakfast and husband and wife owner / operator who made up for their basic English in friendliness and helpfulness, including on the first night when we checked in very late in the evening due to flight delays. Cute pool and spacious, comfortable rooms with plenty of personality, with a family of chickens on site for a reliable morning wake up call!
Location is rather remote - not walkable from the nearest town, and not much else to do on site

Les propriétaires sont très serviables et agréables, à l’écoute des clients. Les chambres sont charmantes et confortable, le jardin et la piscine sont extraordinaires, petit dej top. Une belle découverte.

The owners welcomed us to the property.
Breakfast was good and the fruit salad was lovely.
The house was characterful and unique. We appreciate their eclectic style and the history of the house.
The garden and surroundings were very attractive and it was nice to see the chickens and their chicks. The trampoline for the children was a nice addition.
Ample parking spaces.
A natural and beautiful location.
Our beds were dipped and overly soft. The covers felt damp to the touch.
We had crickets and other bugs on the bed. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room which were hiding behind the many curtains, ornaments and lamps. (Too many for guest accommodation really)
We closed all the windows to stop more bugs coming in but then the room was hot. We asked for fans which we eventually received which then helped us sleep better.
There were lots of spiders and cobwebs in the room.
