There were a lot of mosquitos but there’s a net and you are living on an island so it’s expected! Not a problem for us

Good location but you get what you pay for.

The swimming pool and location were very good. The staff were friendly and helped us when we had a small incident. Overall the place is okay for what you pay.

The room could have been more clean, specially the bathroom. The WiFi didn’t reach our room, worked mainly in the lobby/entrance.

Cheap and it shows

Good price and location. Grass area outside is nice. Does not look like the picture at all, we got a completely different room

No hot or fresh shower (water is salty), AC was not working properly, the bed is not comfortable. Overall the property is just old and not maintained

They gave away my room and were fully booked despite having confirmed my arrival over several WhatsApp messages up to 1.5 hours before I arrived.

Reception person (maybe the owner, maybe employee) was INCREDIBLY rude and unhelpful

Amazing!

Amazing property, clean and great room. Amazing swimming pool and area around. Welcoming hosts who even offered a free ride from the harbour. Had a free drink on arrival. The food for lunch is good! Just have to know that they don’t serve dinner :) You can refill water for free there which is great! The environment is amazing and the location was perfect for us.

Almost everything was perfect, maybe just know the shower is not the best ahaha with little pressure and cold but overall everything was great and we were pleased.

Leaving the homestay

Where to begin... we checked in and immediately the owner tried to start selling us tours. Then they gave us a room with ants all over the floor, the tap in the bathroom was leaking gallons of water onto the floor when you used it, everything was dirty. When we complained about it not being clean, the owner said she could clean it when we went out and admitted they hadn't cleaned it. She eventually reluctantly let us move room but told us we must not leave a bad review, no wonder this place is so well rated. The kitchen had rats running around and the staff were generally extremely unwelcoming and unkind and only wanted to chat when there was a chance to sell something. The environment created by the host was horrible and unnecessary, have not experienced this at any other homestays. Breakfast was naff and location wasn't great, should really stay up in the North along the main road with everything on it (around 25 min bike away).

Exceptional

Incredibly helpful friendly staff, we actually extended our stay by 2 nights. We booked a snorkelling trip with the accomodation which we highly recommend! Pool was very clean and comfortable. Only a 5/10 minute walk from mushroom beach, clean and comfortable rooms. A mini shop 2 minutes walk away.

The only improvement would be that the Wifi wasn't super strong. Fine if you're just using Facebook, WhatsApp etc but not brill for streaming from our room.

Super cute family who runs the whole complex, very helpful, very caring and you get all you need. Nice local warungs around and super close to mushroom bay and devils tears.

The pool area is fantastic, with comfortable loungers. Rooms are large and functional; the deluxe bungalows come with a fridge, great A/C, and a mosquito net which was really appreciated.

We originally booked the standard room, but on arrival we asked to move to a deluxe room as the cleanliness was not great and the rooms felt a bit unloved. For the price though, it was expected, but for us the deluxe bungalows were a lot better. However, there was black mould in the fridge, this should be investigated.

Taos house was the best place I’ve stayed at since touring bali, awesome facilities, amazing price and the family go above and beyond with their hospitality, even refusing to take money when I tried to tip them. Guaranteed to have an amazing stay.

The family that is hosting the apartements are super kind and trustworthy. The location is great, only 5 minutes to mushroom beach and probably 10 minutes to dream beach by foot!

No chaos at Taos - Fantastic

All in all it was great location. I got a great price for room. 10 minutes walk from Mushroom Bay, and other beaches within walking distance. Walk along edge of coast to Tamarind Bay is great, and many excellent restaurants there too. There is nice restaurant directly opposite (ideal as it was pouring that night) where I had Chicken Curry, pot of ginger tea and banana fritters with chocolate syrup and ice cream which was scrummy. Small 2 level pool which was good. I rented a scooter for 2 days of my 5N, had coffee with ice cream at Cenbongen Cliffs both days and it was great. Also went snorkelling and scuba diving ... And saw large Manta Rays. What's not to like?

They did do food, but I never ate there or saw anybody else doing so. There is a small bar and again I never drank there. It was low season.

Amazing value for money!

Our stay at Taos House was fabulous, the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean with big comfy beds and really cool air con. Each apartment also has a nice terrace with good outdoor space to use. The pool is very clean and deep so good for a little swim. Taos house is close to restaurants and a 5-10 minute walk away from mushroom beach. The staff are extremely friendly and hospitable at Taos House and their dog Poppy is beyond cute! We will definitely return here if we are ever in Nusa Lembongan again!

Loved our stay :)))

Big spacious rooms, excellent aircon which was a must for us! Super comfy beds with fresh new sheets and an actual duvet which was cozy. Hotel provides bikes rental and excellent laundry service. Fab pool with cushiony loungers. Owners are a lovely family who will make you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive, would highly recommend staying at Taos House Lembongan.

Lovely family run accommodation. Very relaxed and casual style of attending to us when we needed. Which was good. Family dog Poppy was adorable. Pool was just right. Room was great. Only concern was some stains on walls/sheets.

What would make this accommodation perfect would be self serve coffee each morning. But that’s just a bonus! We were happy nonetheless!

Had such a lovely stay at Taos House. Ina and her family are so kind and generous. Beds are comfortable and there's a nice swimming pool to relax by. You can rent a scooter there too. Very good value for money. Would really recommend staying here.

10/10 stay

We stayed here for 2 days and everything exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is beautiful, pool was very clean and our room was big, comfortable and clean. Our Balinese bathroom was great and we didn't have any problems with mosquitoes or insects in the room (mosquito nets were great and wmthe room was cleaned daily). The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk away from Mushroom Bay and close to many warungs/mini markets and walkable distance from devil's tears, sandy bay and dream beach. The family who own the place are wonderful and couldn't do enough to help us. We had a welcome drink when we arrived, they picked us up and dropped us off at the harbours, she also found us bicycles to rent from Mickey's sports bar (R45k each for 24hrs, brand new bikes, perfect for our day exploring Nusa Ceningan). We asked for vegan breakfasts and she kindly made us fruit platters. It was humbling talking to her about how covid has affected their livelihood. We wished we could of stayed longer and were sad to leave. We would highly recommend this lovely gem to stay in!

Modern rooms on beautiul grounds with great pool close to Mushroom Beach.

Large modern rooms with ice-cold a/c cleaned daily. A great pool on-site surrounded by lush green grounds. Excellent location in a quiet area of the island and a five-minute walk to Mushroom Beach. Many delicious restaurants within steps from the guesthouse. Owners rented us a scooter to explore the beautiful island.

Weak Wi-Fi signal in our room, but it was stronger in the dining and pool area.

Très bonne et belle chambre, literie parfaite

Le personnel, j'ai été très malade et aucune empathie, j'avais l'impression de déranger quand j'avais une question. La personne de l'hôtel qui m'a emmené au bateau (transfert payant bien sur) (la gérante je crois) ne m'a même pas dit au revoir, elle m'a juste dis de payer et est parti. Très désagréable, ayant fait beaucoup d'endroit en Indonésie, c'est la première expérience que j'ai comme ça.
