Madhusha Rest

The location was excellent, in a quiet part of Maskeliya. Just the sound of birds in the mornings. Right out the door you can walk in the tea fields above the lake with great views of waterfalls and Adam's Peak. It's a great base to climb Adam's peak and the Pekoe trail nearby was very senic. The bathroom and room was very clean and I slept very comfortably. The host was very knowledgeable of the area and always had things for me to do, and did a lot to contact bus drivers and train stations to confirm times and organize my transportation. I felt right at home there and they all provide really excellent service day and night.

Walking along the lake, heading towards the Gartmore Waterfall. The owner walked with me among tea fields towards to Gartmore falls along the lake together with two foreigners from Germany. Thanks to all of them.

Good relaxing location, next to the lake and close to Adam's Peak and the waterfalls. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing value for the money. Highly recommended.

Hamantha is a wonderful owner. He will provide you with insights and guide you to the best places! His English is very good which makes it easy to have conversation about any topic. The Homestay has a 20 year old guess book with National Geographic in it. I had my own bathroom and enough privacy. just a tip: make sure to take the 2nd blanket that you are being offered. Sometimes in the night it can get cold.
