Little gem

The place is perfect. I loved that you could hear the waves breaking 24/7. My unit was clean and had everything that I needed. Big plus was that it is dog friendly. Wilma is a fantastic host. The wifi was great so I could work. Overall a lovely stay.

Overall a very comfortable overnight stay.

Excellent location a few steps away from the beach. The room is very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom.

The only complaint is the small dog that barked right through the night.

Listen to the waves…

Fabulous location… very close to the beachfront and had the sound of the ocean to send us to sleep. And just a short walk to Blue Peter for drinks and a pizza whilst watching the sunset. The bed linen was luxurious.

Small Bay Guest House exceeded expectations. The rooms were clean, neat, and well-maintained — everything felt fresh and welcoming. The location is unbeatable: right on the beach with direct access to the sand and stunning views. It's also within easy walking distance to great restaurants and local cafés, making it super convenient. The atmosphere is peaceful and perfect for relaxation. I especially appreciated the friendly service and attention to detail. A great spot for a beach getaway!

Honestly, the only thing I didn’t like was that I had to leave! I strongly suspect the ocean conspired with the soft bed and fresh sea air to trap me there forever. Also, I’m still emotionally recovering from the croissant I had at the nearby café — it was too good, and now regular bread has trust issues. 10/10 would suffer again.

The location

A sad, pining dog next door to my room at the neighbour's place who kept howling and I couldn't concentrate on my writing. This my owner could not control but it would have been good to know that she allows pets. I prefer to stay at places that do not allow pets due to my allergies.

The perfect guest house - location is perfect. It had everything I needed to make my stay in Cape Town comfortable and relaxing after a long day at the expo at CTICC. Stunning walk to Eden on Bay, couple of steps and you are on the beach. What more could one ask for.

Brilliant location ..wonderful for pets totally enclosed .for one nite the standard room is great but more than one night the bigger room .blue peter hotel is immediately next door .quite pricy worse fish I have ever had but pizzas are good ..3 min walk to big bay with lots of different cuisine .just the hairdryer is very weak and a better cheap one could be gotten but otherwise a fab stay

The location was exceptional. Although it does not have an ocean view, the property is less than a 100m from the ocean. We enjoyed our morning coffee on a bench overlooking the ocean.

Our stay was great, a warm welcome from the host Wilma - She is the best!

Location is the best - wish to visit in summer for walks and jogging on the beach. Restaurants are just a walk from the location. no comments on breakfast, our package did not include breakfast

Next time we will book a room with a sea view from the room if available. We recommend microwave if possible, to warm up milk for coffee and warming of our take aways. We loved the electric blanket and everything else, so warm and comfortable. The shower is spacious and very neat.

Excellent accomodation. Comfortable and value for money

I took bus from city to this location. Convinient. Really close to the beach for sunset or morning walk. Close to supermarket and all the restaurants. Separate private entrance with night sensor light And loved the ouma biscuit provided for my tea and coffee
