Elia was a wonderful host, taking time to steer us to great pizza and the sights we wanted to see, and giving us tips on how to navigate the culture of this unique and amazing region.
Just be sure to have 20 cents on hand to ride the ancient but completely functional elevator.

I love the property itself. You walk in this tiny door you kinda have to bend over to get into it and you pull your suitcase over this like foot high ledge but once you are inside it kind of feels like the setting of Les Mis. You were open to the elements at the center, but then there are apartments going up the walls and just incredible open feeling that takes you back to another time. I shot some pictures in there and it was absolutely wonderful ambience.
The worst part about this property is that you have to pay to use the elevator. If you do not come with $.20 you cannot use the elevator and there are no sign explaining that to you.
