Jose is a lovely host. He advised us on where to park on the street, luckily free for us as it was a Saturday evening & all parking in Portalegre is free then through till Sunday morning. He recommended we visit the Tapestry Museum on Sunday morning which is beautiful & very interesting. The museums are all free to visit on Sunday morning! The hostel is in a wonderful old building, slightly scruffy but delightful to those who appreciate such a place. Very good value. We loved it.

The location in the center of Portalegre, the breakfast for free, the room and bathroom was clean and staff was kind
The kitchen was very dirty when I was here and maybe the house need some renovation
