La closerie aux écureuils

This property is set in beautiful grounds, there were chickens in the garden next door, it is clean, very quiet, spacious, well equipped, and ideal for my one night stopover stay. it is no more than ten minutes from the autoroute and the hosts had kindly opened the door and windows ahead of my late (9pm) Sunday arrival from the ferry. It was very warm which suited me, I noted a fan, or two but no air conditioning if this is a requirement. Bathroom is modern and clean, a good shower, a dehumidifier was plugged in and on constant, not a distraction nor noisy. Parking was excellent, and the property was easy to find.

The property lists WiFi however I could not find the information, if it was in the booklet, I must have missed it. I checked the TIVO box thinking it may have been the "router" behind the TV but again this information was not displayed on my Iphone address. It had been a long Sunday, having left the UK at 11am, and arrived at 9pm (French). I had read other families reviews where the hosts had kindly provided a "welcome" basket, I knocked on the two adjacent front doors to ask (two cars were parked outside) but no-one answered. I would really have appreciated some water in the fridge to make tea or coffee as I was thirsty.

Quite rural and rustic

Outdoor space was amazing beds are large and comfortable

There was a slight damp smell.

Ludovich the Host was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Hes a thoughtful host and keeps the property up nicely

We found the bed was lumpy and needs replacing
