Stunning decor, although close to the road it felt like we were immersed in the jungle

Nothing - It met my expectations completely.

Great kitchen space and lots of hammocks. The host was great, organized the rafting trip for us.

The rooms smelled moldy and were kind of run down. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Due to the high humidity nothing ever dries out so a dryer on site would have been great. No laundry facilities either.

If you have a rental car, don‘t go there. They do not have parking lots as they mention, there is only a very narrow gateway to the hostel where you cannot cross with another car. Therefore if you are not present at the hostel the whole day, they expect you to leave the key at the office so that they can move all the cars if a car in the back has to leave. Only 1 shower and 3 toilets available for the whole hostel available. 2 toilets were always blocked, so you couldn‘t flush anymore. Toilet paper was missing in the evening as well as the next morning, seems like nobody is maintaining or cleaning the bathrooms.
