    This hostel truly deserves an exceptional one. The value for money is outstanding, you honestly get much more than what you pay for. This is easily one of the best hostels I’ve experienced in Japan. No second thoughts, I will definitely come back. I loved being able to experience a traditional Japanese home, complete with sliding doors and tatami mats in the room. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming, the staff feel more like friends than employees. They patiently took the time to explain everything about Nagano, from bus schedules to authentic local food. When I mentioned I was heading to a snowy area, they thoughtfully provided me with snow spikes to keep me safe. It’s this kind of care and attentiveness that truly made my stay special and make me smiling during writing this. Special thanks to Etsuko — if you’re reading this, I hope you’re doing well! I truly hope you get the kei car you’ve always wished for.

    This is one of the rarest home stays which made me feel like home, not just a place to sleep. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming you. The staffs cook some traditional breakfasts for me. People always gather around the guest table and share their stories with each other. I have an amazing time there. Cannot wait to come back
