Booked CS hotel for its location only which is walking distance to Centraal station, other than that everything else is pretty crappy for the price we paid. Room is ridiculously small, no elevator, very inconvenient as got to climb 4 storey with narrow staircase, noisy street, soundproofing from neighbouring room is non-existent, sharing shower room is not clean, shower pressure is very low, only one electrical point for charging located behind the bed, another one is high up on the wall next to the vanity mirror. Only positive review about this hotel is location and the bed which did not give me any backache. Apologies for the one star review, but hotel in need of owner/management review and action for major improvement.

The hotel and staff were great. Only thing was the stairs. No lift and we were on the 5th floor. Having never been to Amsterdam before, we did not realize the stairs would be so narrow and steep - it was an adventure!!

The location of this hotel is very convenient in its closeness to city centre and the central rail station. Be prepared for a narrow walk up to your suite, (no elevator)which is mostly taken up by the bed; not much room for anything else. Bathroom was clean and the bathroom facilities were acceptable. Great accommodation for a one night stay if you are needing to be transitioning to and from Amsterdam and needing a convenient location for train travel.
