The welcome of Cesar was amazing and he helped us with telling us about art and architectural spots especially Serralves an incredible art gallery garden with an exhibition of Frank Ghery … we were blown away .. The location opposite the market is superb.

Could be challenging if you aren’t mobile , lots of stairs .

Great location, super close (walking distance) to most Down Town landmarks. We liked the beautiful old-fashion staircase of the facility.

We absolutely loved the outstanding staff, who felt more like genuine friends than hotel employees. They helped us map out our daily plans, hosted a unique Port wine tasting, and were incredibly caring when our eight-year-old daughter fell ill during an intense European heatwave. The thoughtful room surprises made us feel so welcomed. The delicious, made-to-order breakfast was the hit of our entire Portugal trip, the homemade jam was incredible, and having custom-made eggs and coffee meant nothing went to waste. My parents actually produce their own olive oil and are extremely picky, but they were thoroughly impressed by the hotel's own produced olive oil! The hotel’s artistic design and comfortable beds were a joy to return to, and the location could not be better; it is walking distance to everything, with both a pharmacy and a supermarket right next door. Plus, having a luggage elevator to haul our bags to the room once we made it to the lobby was a huge help.

We truly loved everything about our stay, so these notes are not complaints at all, but rather helpful tips worth mentioning for future travelers to plan smoothly! As clearly stated in the hotel description, the setup can be challenging if you have limited mobility or heavy luggage. Arrival by Uber or Bolt is tricky because the hotel is on a narrow, one-way, single-lane street where cars cannot easily stop. If arriving by Metro, the station is very close and an easy walk, though Porto’s cobblestone streets still make rolling multiple heavy bags a workout, we definitely recommend traveling light! Once at the hotel, entrance is via a small street door leading up a narrow staircase to the lobby, and there is no passenger elevator in the building. Lastly, despite keeping our windows closed during our early July stay, we noticed a few mosquitoes in our room, a minor detail we forgot to mention to the staff at the time, and something that certainly didn't take away from an otherwise wonderful stay.
