Island Hostel Budapest

It is located on an incredible island

It’s a bit far from the center

It was a nice stay for a night. Staff was kin and helpful and the location was perfect.

It could be a bit cleaner.

Location is great, you can walk to all the most important places in Budapest from there. There’s is a box under the bed with a provided lock and key to store your belongings which is nice to avoid stress when you’re out. The island itself has plenty of places to eat too. The terrace was really nice, I enjoyed that especially on sunny days, it’s really handy to get some air without having to leave the hostel. They provide labels and a pen to label your food in the fridge whenever you buy anything, hot water also worked fine in the shower, and staff were friendly.

Bed wasn’t very comfortable and it was quite noisy, I would wake up with back pain. I stayed in a 10-bed room and it was ok with the others guests; although not all of them followed the rules of being quiet after 10pm and there isn’t any staff to tell them to keep it quiet at that time. Staff would clean the room, however I would see huge ants in the shared kitchen and a small cockroach in the shared bathroom that’s inside the bedroom, which was quite unpleasant.
