A friendly, cozy stay with great service, but sleep was disrupted by street noise.

Breakfast was pleasantly satisfying, especially by German standards. The staff were exceptionally friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. Our room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. A particularly thoughtful touch was the owner personally greeting guests during breakfast, a gesture that added a genuine sense of hospitality and care.

We had booked a river view room, but upon arrival, we were given one facing the courtyard instead. While the lack of a river view was not disappointing, the real issue was the noise from the street. With no air conditioning in the room, we had to keep the window open throughout the night for ventilation — which unfortunately made it nearly impossible to sleep due to the constant noise. I reached out to the hotel on the day of our arrival, but received no response. After a long journey, a sleepless night can truly take a toll, and this significantly affected the comfort of our stay.

Beautiful Hotel On the Rhine

Pretty hotel, right along the Rhine. Close to the train station. Good breakfast. Indoor bicycle storage (although in a garage about a block away).

Great View and Room, Service Could be Better

The room was large and nicely furnished. We had a very nice view of the Rhine outside of our windows.

There was no one at the hotel when we checked in and our code did not work. We were able to get in touch with someone to get our key but it was not a smooth checkin. The next night another family encountered the same problem. The hotel was nearly full over the weekend, so there should have been greater attentiveness on the part of management to checking in guests. Other hotels of comparable price have front desk personnel who meet and assist guests, why not this one?

A quiet hotel with a view of Rhine

A nice quiet hotel in the very centre of the old town on the German side of Laufenburg. Amazing view of the Rhine river!! A comfortable room with an exceptionally clean bathroom. Small nice details like an electric kettle, tea bags and a complimentary bottle of water. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. The dining room has a wonderful view of the Rhine, I recommend having breakfast on the terrace if it's warm enough. A very good value for money. I definitely recommend it.

I had issues with connecting to the wifi but it worked eventually.

A lovely place to stay beside the mighty river Rhein.

The location is splendid. We had a room with a view over the Rhein, opposite from the historic facades on the Swiss side of Laufenburg, and only a minute's walk from the riverside, where you can walk in both directions along the river and enjoy the views. Really a lovely place to spend a night!

Relaxing stay in Laufenburg on a Rhine cycle trip

We really enjoyed our stay in Brutsches Rebstock on our Rhine cycle trip. The hotel staff where welcoming and helpful. Our room was excellent with a balcony to relax on, overlooking the Rhine. Dinner was very good, one of the best pepper steaks I have had for a long time. Breakfast was also excellent. Bike storage was a short walk away in a secure locked underground garage. A thoroughly relaxing stay in a charming hotel with great views of the Rhine, didn’t want to leave.

Lovely traditional hotel at a spectacular location, offering stellar service

The location is spectacular, though much more impressive is the staff at this traditional historic hotel. Fabulous kitchen, great breakfast, booking a spot at the nearby public parking was arranged quickly.

WIFI could be better, keeping the modem switched on during the night would be useful ;)

Exceptional

Location was perfect. Eating breakfast buffet on the balcony overlooking the Rhein River was fabulous. Paying a little extra to have a room overlooking the Rhein is also highly recommended. Also, by staying in Germany with your car parked in Germany you do not have to worry about buying a Swiss annual vignette for your car as you can walk across the bridge into Switzerland.

Perfect stay and nice location in the old town centre of Laufenburg. I would like to recommend this family hotel to other travellers. Nice and helpful staff. Ask for your free of charge Konus-guest pass to have free access to public transport of the region.

Immer wieder gerne Gast im Rebstock!

Brutsches Rebstock ist für mich ein absolutes MUSS, wenn ich in der Nähe zu tun habe. Die Lage - direkt am Rhein - ist einzig. Restaurant ist zu empfehlen. Alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Es gibt keinen Aufzug. Was für mich jedoch kein negatives Kriterium ist, da für mich Treppen noch kein Hindernis darstellen :=)). Parken kann man nicht direkt vor dem Hotel, jedoch ist ein Parkhaus nur ein paar Meter vom Hotel entfernt.

Komfortable Zimmer in einem stilvolle Haus in wunderschöner Umgebung. Sehr freundliches Personal und ein hervorragendes

Wir hatten ein schönes, komfortables Zimmer mit Ausblick auf den Rhein, auf dem wir gerne auch ein paar Stunden zwischendurch verbracht haben. Dank Teebeutel, Tassen und einem Wasserkocher – alles vorhanden – konnten wir es uns gemütlich machen.

Check-in und Check-out mittels Code bzw automatischer Rechnungserstellung und Zusendung via E-Mail. ich habe nur bei der Schlüsselrückgabe eine Person kurz gesehen, das hat alles gut funktioniert. es gibt gute Teebeutel und einen Wasserkocher, auch eine kleine Flasche Wasser.

die Heizung im Zimmer war abgeschaltet, als ich spät abends ins Zimmer kam, war es ziemlich kalt. es wäre ein guter Service, die Heizung wenigstens ein bisschen aufzudrehen, wenn ein Gast erwartet wird.

Es hat alles bestens geklappt, online check in, das Zimmer war schön, Frühstück sehr gut.

Mein Partner hat das Hotel ausgesucht, weil er dort in der Nähe arbeiten musste von Freitag bis Samstag und es sehr gut gelegen ist. Auch hat er schon von Kollegen davon gehört, dass es seht gut sein soll dort. Ihm selber hat es auch sehr gut gefallen, alles hat sehr gut gepasst.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Zimmer für eine Zwischenübernachtung auf meiner Radreise völlig okay. Der Blick über den Rhein beim Frühstück echt toll!

Es hat mir eigentlich nichts gar nicht gefallen, aber der Gesamteindruck war auch nicht überwältigend. Ich würde wiederkommen ...!
