Excellent and relaxing stay and recommended to others when looking for a stay in Liverpool.

From the moment I set foot in the place, I was greeted with kindness and warmth. The atmosphere was friendly and staff (especially Odessa) were outstanding. They did not stop. Food was excellent as well.

The room was clean, comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities and shower gel and soap. Everything I needed for a nights stay. I had dinner in the bar in the evening. The pub was decorated for Christmas and it was so festive. Great choice of food on the menu including deals, combos and festive specials. Staff could not have been friendlier. I also had my breakfast in the bar in the morning and was offered a huge selection of continental items for a really decent price which is important when traveling for work. It is also a bit lonely sometimes on work trips so it was really nice to have a chat with the lady on duty in the morning. There is also a free customers car park over the road.

Chidwell Abbeysolutely wonderful

The staff were fabulous (Manger Steve and apologies if I got the breakfast chefs name wrong but Jan made the best omelette ever!) The rooms were very comfortable and clean The location is great Public transport to Anfield and Liverpool is a short stroll away The breakfasts are prob made by carlsberg The rooms had blackout curtains Sockets are in helpful places in the rooms

Lets make thisnclear ther was nothjng we didnt like but a few things that if we had known would have made the stay 10/10 across the board. Our nextbstay will be 10/10 The rooms are a little dated (but not so bad to loose ratings) The black outst curtains let a little light in around as on a pole (but sill great at blocking 90% of the light) It's a listed building and so the rooms have masorators which make a loud noise when the water is run in the bathroom. (Nor an issue as the noise dosent last long). Just need to expect it. Would have been helpful to have a light on the room mirror

Super charming British hotel

This hotel is like taken out of a British TV series. Super charming British style hotel in a nice quiet area in Liverpool, yet with good transport options available. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the pub/restaurant is very charming and tast. All in all very good value for money in an otherwise very overpriced city in terms of hotels.

Rooms are tiny but its kind of part of the package and nothing we didn't know in advance. If possible single beds could be made a little bigger. Getting to Anfield Road for the game is a bit of a hassle from this point but doable with good planning

Appalling bathroom, bad extractor fans, toilet system noise, broken taps, badly maintained, worse than my schools toilets, desperate need of modernisation, not looked after, general state of disrepair and lack of care. Felt like a 2* low budget offering would have expected to pay £50 for that room. Definitely should have gone to premier inn which is on a different planet for facilities

Staff very helpful and kind

Room. Bathroom had loose taps, Very noisy extractor fan. The loo flush had a macerator that was very loud. The whole room needed a full refurbishment and the matress was shorter than the bed base. Stairs. We found the stairs very steep and this site is not a place for people with mobility issues. The staff did help with luggage and everyone was very kind. In general the whole place needs a refurbishment. I felt sorry for the staff having to cope with a workplace in need of a lot of refurbishment

Noise from water system, any time anyone used a shower ,toilet or sink in any room the saniflow system rumbled loud enough to keep me awake. Also room was ridiculously hot even with cool outside temperature.

It’s a slightly quirky individual pub with rooms, with old fashioned fireplaces in the bedrooms. Staff very helpful, despite mostly being young & so probably quite inexperienced. It’s a community hub, obviously beloved by locals, with a ukulele class going in for a couple of hours on Thursday evening, followed by a session of folk music by some friendly locals.

The loo macerators are a bit noisy & the bedroom & bathroom were a bit too warm for us in August. The food was reasonable pub grub, some items were unavailable, & the menus & tables were a bit sticky to touch.

Enjoyable stay in an unusual pub.

This is a great pub with rooms. The building itself is amazing. On the night of my stay a TV company was doing some filming so the restaurant was closed but the manager was very helpful in getting me booked in and offered me a free breakfast, which was kind. The room was well-appointed and very clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had a couple of beers later on and enjoyed listening to the band that was playing that night. Recommended.

A lovely friendly hotel/ pub, with great atmosphere. Fantastic staff, lovely food, very clean room . Bed was very comfortable and room a good size. Liked the area and a lovely welcome. They were short staffed, and staff working very hard, but the helpfulness and friendly nature of the team was constant. Thank you.
