The room and onsen were fantastic

Only bit of feedback was the lack of western food options on room service menu

The property is in a perfect location along the river surrounded by lush greenery. The views from the restaurant and Onsen Riverview Villas makes a person feel as if they have stepped back into a less stressful time. The swimming pool and hot springs offer a perfect place to relax and unwind. The walk through the jungle to the Mon Village and river is well worth the effort. The gardens are well maintained. The restaurant offers delicious food and the staff are very attentive. The museum is also a must see.

Lovely grounds, well maintained and looked after. Comfortable rooms. Treetops great for kids. Museum on war very interesting for adults. Loved the use of filtered water bottle reducing plastic waste.

Average restaurant..no fresh juice at breakfast. Lots of processed foods at breakfast, not the quality expected for the room price. The restaurant food was hit and miss, some dishes were very poor and prices were on the high side, other dishes were very good. Day trips and river activities massively overpriced - we went elsewhere for these for much less money.

We booked a villa with the outside hot tub with natural mineral water, the villa was good and the hot tub was good. The staff are very good and respectful.

we were advised that at 1600hrs and 0700hrs a man will come and refill/change the water in the tub. we had to ask for that to happen on the first afternoon, we called reception at approx 1730 hrs . on day 2 by mid afternoon our room had not been serviced, we had to ask for that as well, they did respond quickly. The Weary Dunlop memorial and display is well presented but is definitely showing its age and lack of maintenance and care. Light bulbs were not working and humidity in the building is getting to all the displays. This is a private memorial by the resort owners (not government sponsored) Sir Dunlops ashes (some of them) were spread in the River KWAI in this location as the resort founder was a close friend.
