This was such a lovely stay! The rooms are clean and comfortable with very good beds, good ac, nice bathrooms and water pressure, and no issues with insects. The property is so beautiful and well maintained. The pools are large and clean, and there is a cave that’s walking distance and really cool if you don’t mind a few steps. The scenery around is beautiful and unique, and they maintain the property very well. Staff is nice. We got a massage which was also very good. There’s a Mons village nearby which we didn’t have a chance to see, but it would probably be fun if you wanted to do something outside of the property but very close and convenient. The restaurant has excellent food and considering it’s a resort and you don’t have many other options of dining, they provide very good value. The breakfast has many options, both Thai and western. We had a great stay

Resotel is a beautifully designed property — well thought out, very relaxing, and it gives you the feeling of being surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat overshadowed by a few issues. First, the reception staff came across as insincere. We had initially decided to extend our stay for one more night and, after calling the main office in Bangkok, were told that our room was available and we could keep it for another night. Later, due to an emergency, we couldn’t extend after all and instead asked the receptionist for a late check-out. She told (lied to) us the room was booked for other guests and that a late check-out was not at all possible. This interaction left us with a negative impression, especially given the conflicting information from the Bangkok office. Secondly, we felt misled by the room description. We paid extra for a “river view” room, but the reality was disappointing. The river is only visible if you stand on the bed, and even then, the built-in bench on the balcony blocks much of the view. In truth, the room is more “next to” the river than overlooking it. On top of that, the river functions as a busy thoroughfare
