Great stay in a beautiful restored apartment.

We loved everything about this beautifully restored apartment. The location, the host, the well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and powerful shower. Loved the artwork and personal touches. Absolutely recommend staying here, we will certainly return. We had the top floor apartment and very much appreciated the lift - though the food in Ostend is so good we should have used the staircase more!

Oasis in Ostend

The host greeted us on arrival with an introduction to the apartment and local area plus a bottle of Cava. The apartment is extremely well equipped and comfortable. It is located in a central area just minutes walk to the shops and beachfront. Although being near a main road and tram route it is very quiet. Will certainly stay here again when next in Ostend.

The nearest car park is well located just across the road, less than a minutes walk, but is quite expensive at 27 euros per 24 hours. There are cheaper options further away, around 10 minutes walk.

Beautiful and comfortable apartment to stay

We stayed in Dikke Mathilde apartment and it was a great experience. The apartment is spacious and very nicely furnished. It is super clean and offers everything we need for a relaxing weekend stay. The kitchen is well equipped that we could cook simple meal and enjoy dinner by the candle lights in living room. The little court yard and the open space bathtub are huge bonuses. The location is very convenient to walk to the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and coffeeshops nearby. It is also just short walk of 10 mins from the train station if you arrive by train.

Loved everything. Spacious, modern, spotless, compy beds, balcony, amazing shower. Host so helpful & gave us bottle of cava on arrival. Very secure property with lift. Beautiful smell in building & attention to detail brilliant. English t.v stations. Would highly recommend

Perfect and relaxing

The location. The beauty of the decoration and the view, the apartments are decorated with high quality design furniture, there’s a gas fire with coal and flames, very homely, the rooms are big, there’s a great view over the park no vis a vis. Everything in the apartment is the best quality possible. The hosts are kind and helpful, very reactive. We’ve stayed there many times and have always been very happy there, à home from home. Very close to the main shopping street and restaurants and of course the beach! I can genuinely say we’ve not found a better place either hotel or apparement to stay in Ostend.

Locatie. De faciliteiten op zich zijn prima alleen is de schoonmaak niet wat wij gewend zijn.

Hygiëne, 2 verstopte wastafels en een douchebak die overstroomt waardoor je de toilet niet meer kunt gebruiken.

Het appartement was volledig uitgerust: keuken, handdoeken, koffiepads, … Verder de locatie vlakbij cc De Grote Post.

Als we dan 1 min punt moeten noemen dan is het het vroege uur van uitchecken nl. 10 uur terwijl nieuwe gasten er toch maar om 15:00 in kunnen. Het appartement is niet groot om te poetsen , 3 uur volstaan ruim. Je kan geen dag meer aan zee blijven want je hebt je bagage...

Wij waren zeer tevreden

Geen ontbijt, maar perfect modern klein keukentje, die heeft alles dat nodig is. Goed locatie, in de centrum van de Oostende, tegenover van het park. Loopafstand van het station en strand rond 7 minuten We waren met de trein in 10 minuten in Brugge. En met de tram 10 minuten tot Atlantikwaal museum
