Overrated

Warm ( not so standard as the temperature in some hotels in France are really too low) and easy parking with chargers. Friendly staff

Room had recently been refurbished - all very clean if a bit spartan. No frills accommodation but everything works. Ideal location in relation to the motorway. Good breakfast

The 2 single beds that we got were confortable but kept slipping out of place all the time and so we often had to push them back together or else we could end up on the floor. As a couple we’d have preferred a double bed.

Not clean enough, not comfortable

Staff really good and clearly working hard but probably do to management or organisation, not enough time for them to do their job well. Receptionist very kind while checking me in and women on breakfast was literally sprinting to fill everything up but was alone and clearly that’s not good enough.

I traveled to these kind of hotels quite often, mostly just to arrive mid/late evening while traveling trough Europe with car just to sleep quickly and drive again the next morning. Never have high expectations because it’s a budget hotel. But for 78 euros I expected at least the bathroom to not have an insane amount of black hairs everywhere, walls not clean and toilet stained heavily cause of lack of cleaning and maintenance. The room had a weird smell to it and had literally nothing. It’s a bathroom, tv on wall with remote, a desk and a bed. Bed was small (double 140cm wide) and was clearly ready to be replaced as I constantly rolled into this hole in the bed. Didn’t have a comfortable sleep and will normally not put an essay like this online, but management do better, give cleaners more time or check better and do some deep cleaning in some rooms as I understand this is 90% of the time used for only one night. If this hotel would be 40 euros i wouldn’t type anything but for double this was an insane experience.

Honestly, I don’t understand how this hotel has a 3-star in my opinion, it doesn't even deserve one.

This was unfortunately one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Don’t be misled by the photos shown on Booking — they are highly misleading. The room was far from clean and had a terrible smell, especially from the carpets, which made it impossible to sleep. There was no fridge, kettle, coffee machine — not even a glass in the room. For travelers, this makes things very difficult. We had booked for 6 people via Booking, but due to a system error, the hotel only registered 4. Since we had no alternative that night, we had to stay for one night. The next day we had to check out although I had one more day. It was impossible to stay one more night. The first room had dirty sheets. The second room smelled so bad my spouse couldn’t sleep at all. Although the staff initially promised to help with a refund for the second night (which we didn’t stay), they later refused. This was dishonest and disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

we arrived around 9 pm and ordered pizza for dinner. there was a local karaoke event in the bar- they made us eat the pizza in the room… bit weird. checking inn process seemed the be cumbersome for some reason too.

Very convenient for motorway. Air conditioning. Soundproofing. Having asked for a walk-in shower we were given the disabled room -but what kind of hotel puts the disabled room at the furthest extremities of the rooms?

Bedroom not clean enough - discarded contact lens on bedside table and lump of wet, used toilet paper on floor beside the toilet! Restaurant - no menu, you have to choose your meal from boards in Reception (badly written too!) which means getting up and returning to boards for decision. No wine list except on bar and requested wine was not available. Plastic furniture not conducive to relaxed dining. Food was moderate. Breakfast - remember to collect cutlery and tray on way in - area cramped for access to self-service items.

the worst hotel we have ever stayed in

upon arriving after a 500 mile journey,went to our bedroom and it was cold, complained to the receptionist who said the heating wasn’t working gave us a portable heater to plug in it took hours to get any warmth my wife sat with her fleece on went for breakfast next day to start the morning with a fill up no fruit juice some bits of cheese and meat nobody was interested we had another 6 hour drive not a way to start wet and had breakfast at the local centre commercial, we paid 114euros for this, mentioned it at reception and the said they would make a note off the complaint !!! perhaps some financial compensation

Great place to stay the night on your travels.

Up on arrival we could easily find the hotel and after the check-in with the friendly staff we opened the door to a clean room, nice and neat. We stayed at the ibis Thionville Porte du Luxembourg as a stop on our travel home, so we were pleased that the hotel is located near the highway. Nice and quiet even while close to the highway. It also has some beneficial stops like a Boulangerie near by, great to pick-up some breakfast while getting back on the road.

As great as the bed was, the pillows felt a bit small. A little more comfort there and it would be perfect.
