Parrett Hotel

The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The other guests were very sociable. The location was good, but not very near to any shops.

The restaurant was a bit too small and too intimate.

The owner was really lovely - hospitable and quite a character! Also we had a beautiful big room with a lovely bathroom . The outside patio was lovely and the place was very quiet so we had a good nights sleep .

When we arrived, owners were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and well presented. Room was very clean, female owner took us to our room, friendly chit chat.

Breakfast was ok, although limited choice for cereals there was no fruit also only one peice of toast was provided and the poached egg was very undercooked.

The reception desk / area which gives the first impression, was dusty and untidy and needed a thorough clean, Also, there was a Reform polictical poster in reception which i find very off-putting and intimidating and gives a poor impresion to guests that may not be from the UK. In the room there was only one Black Tea bag provided. The lock on the room door could not be secured from the inside, the dead lock on the catch was broken. Also, the fee for the room was taken before i arrived and for a higher amount that advertised. The booking said that i would be charged on arrival and at a lower amount.
