Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily stay here again. The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained, and despite the compact common areas, the room itself had plenty of space to comfortably open a large trunk-sized suitcase, which was important for us since we were traveling with a baby and lots of luggage.
One thing to note is that I initially had no idea that this was not a traditional hotel. It operates more like an Airbnb or serviced accommodation rather than a full-service hotel. There is no lobby or front desk; instead, there is a small office where staff assist guests with check-in and provide access codes for the rooms.
The hallways and elevator are quite small, which can be challenging if you’re traveling with a large stroller or oversized luggage. However, once inside the room, space was not an issue at all.
The shower water temperature was a bit inconsistent. We noticed that hot water was sometimes unavailable in the mornings, likely because many guests were using it at the same time, but it always heated up properly during the evenings.
The entrance area is shared with a restaurant, which is quite small. Since we were using a large premium stroller, navigating the space could be difficult at times. At night, when the restaurant is closed, guests use a separate entrance that includes a few stairs, so stroller users may need to carry their stroller up and down. Thankfully, the staff were always willing to help.
What truly stood out during our stay was the exceptional service. The staff were consistently kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They never made us feel like an inconvenience despite our large stroller and luggage and were always ready to assist whenever needed. Their hospitality more than made up for any minor inconveniences we encountered.
The location is one of the property’s strongest points. The Colosseum and Trevi Fountain were both about a 25-minute walk away, while the Monti neighborhood was roughly 15 minutes on foot. We even walked all the way to the Vatican, which took about an hour, but there were so many beautiful sights, cafés, shops, and landmarks along the way that it never felt like a long walk.
Another major advantage is that Rome Termini Station is only about a block away. We didn’t use the trains during our stay because we were traveling with a baby and stroller, but for most travelers, this location would be incredibly convenient. If you’re planning to visit multiple cities throughout Italy, this property makes an excellent base. Had we not been traveling with a baby, we would have taken full advantage of how easy it would be to access trains and explore other parts of the country.
There are also plenty of nearby convenience stores where you can buy water, snacks, and other necessities, which was very convenient during our stay.
The only downside of the location is that the neighborhood can feel a little rough at night. We noticed groups of people hanging around the streets late in the evening, and we even witnessed an altercation nearby. However, there was a visible police and military presence in the area, and authorities responded very quickly, which was reassuring.
The property also offers luggage storage and has a laundry room in the basement. Although we didn’t personally use the laundry facilities, they appeared to be complimentary since we didn’t notice any coin-operated machines.
Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks such as the small elevator, narrow hallways, occasional hot water issues, and the less polished feel of the surrounding neighborhood, the positives far outweighed the negatives. The rooms were modern and clean, the location was excellent for sightseeing and transportation, and the staff were some of the friendliest and most accommodating people we encountered during our trip to Italy.
