The Shores Holiday Apartments

We didn't get breakfast, didn't realise that was part of the package. But the location was perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Villa was very tidy. I needed to book an extra night and the on-site management replied promptly approving my request. I was very grateful, as plans had changed for our other accommodation.

We had a large 4x4 rental vehicle and a narrow driveway to the property. Turning the truck using a side park area was testing but luckily my husband is a good driver. Other than that, my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location by Blacks beach and other northern beaches. Lovely, spacious unit with large fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and patio with garden furniture. Washing up liquid, dish cloths, 2 dishwasher tablets, small sachet washing liquid, spare bin bags, a selection of tea/coffee/sugar and a small carton of milk supplied - much appreciated. Beach towels also supplied which helped immensely. Manager lovely and helpful. Upgraded on arrival from a 2 bed townhouse to a 2 bed ground floor unit. Pools, tennis courts and close to the beach. (Didn’t use the tennis courts).

The holiday park felt a little dated and in need of some TLC. (I did notice, though, when we were leaving, that some units were being painted). The bath/shower in the unit was old but functional. The what to do brochure needed updating as it was from 2022 so not all information was current. The pools needed cleaning, but this did not stop my granddaughter from using them, even in August.
