Security light outside would turn on and light up the room due to gaps in the blinds and the batteries in the remotes needed changing.

Great location with an ocean view. Spacious apartment with all amenities needed for an extended stay.
Better curtaining on the bedroom window to completely block the motion-sensor light on the outside walkway.

Clean, modern and spacious apartment in a quiet complex, equipped with all essential facilities and secure parking. Free Wi-Fi and Netflix were a bonus. Stunning water views from the balcony, with walking tracks, parks, and beaches just a short stroll away.
There was nothing I didn't like about the apartment itself. A car is needed to go into town and there are no restaurants nearby. However, it has a fully equipped kitchen so we bought groceries and cooked for ourselves. Since Mackay's attractions are spread out most people would have a vehicle anyway. It's a trade-off between staying in town or near the beaches. We preferred the latter.
